Cold is right. Especially this time of year, most chances to photograph any color is early morning or evening, adding to the fun. Not that it mattered this past week, the temperature did not budge much. Thankfully, it looks like a warming trend is on the way (above freezing for highs) after a possible freezing rain event tonight.

While Ray switches to color with his 50-135mm, I'll switch to B&W with mine.
Leighton, never takes long for me to revert back to monochromatic-ish images in the winter. I went back and forth a few times, decide to leave the brown in this shot. 200mm f4.0 AI Micro.

As I'm now the owner (thanks to Ben) of Nikki, I think this is a great idea. But please Rafael, set up a blog similar to the one we had with Nikki so we can have it for prosperity. I hope there will be some who will join up for this adventure, it was certainly fun when Nikki went around the world.
That is a great idea Leighton, but not sure how to do that, please advise. Also pelase advise on practical rules of the road, like publishing here the list of who wanted the lens using their Miranda screen names only, will also say who has the lens by screen name. No other information will be given, no real names, certainly no addresses. Addresses will be given only to the sender for the next shipment, etc. Really, please advise, but you can trust me, I have a top secret clearance!

Not sure if "doing Nikkies mom" is the best suitable description. It reminds me a bit of Stifler's mom. But I have a photo here taken with another S mount lens.
Two hand made mammmoth ivory dice, and a bufalo horn die in the background. Taken with the 13,5cm f4 on the N-F adapter, mounted to my bellows unit.
With this combination, showing the Schreger lines in the ivory is suddenly easy
Nikkir's mom was a description, not a name. Let's come up with a good sounding name! Nippi? Kogaki? kinda like Nippi after Nippon, full name Nippi Duncan.

Now that you mention it, "Nikki's Mom" is, indeed, more a descriptor than a name. And Nippi sounds like a good choice of name for Nikki's Mom, especially considering that the company was originally called Nippon Kogaku, and only later changed its name to "Nikon" as a pithier short form.
For today's image post from me, here is my final set of IR photos from the Hot August Nights 2023 classic car show. These were all taken with my D7200 and the 18 f/3.5 Ai-s.
