Nikkir's mom was a description, not a name. Let's come up with a good sounding name! Nippi? Kogaki? kinda like Nippi after Nippon, full name Nippi Duncan.
Now that you mention it, "Nikki's Mom" is, indeed, more a descriptor than a name. And Nippi sounds like a good choice of name for Nikki's Mom, especially considering that the company was originally called Nippon Kogaku, and only later came to be called "Nikon" as a pithier short form.
