Regina, great to see you back in the saddle and congratulations on the new toy.
Pena Palace, Sintra Portugal, a bit more coverage as it was not the easiest of places to visit.
Through the gate at our 12:30 PM time slot waiting for entrance to the interior. Shortly after this photo, an Amazonian type rainfall began and was unable to take additional photos from the upper balconies.
The rooms were smaller than expected plus the narrow corridors were crowded. Nice spot for a midnight snack.
The downpour finally gave way to drizzle and fog, lovely stuff.
Serge, The fog photo is gorgeous, and thanks for sharing your travels with all of us. I almost expect the French Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail to shout his taunt from the ramparts.
“I don’t want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.”

Fun lens, enjoy! It always seems to me that it does best wide-open it closer distances. But then my copy is not all that clean so maybe it’s just defective.

Thanks, James and glad you are enjoying views of Portugal.
The photograph does have a medieval atmosphere. I almost did not take it due to worries about moisture damage to the camera gear but it was too interesting to pass up.
Here is a bit more of the colour green from the early fall at Big Qualicum River, brought to you by the D800E with the 28 f/2 N and the 105 f/1.8 Ai-s.
