Great to see you're on the way up healthwise Regina. It is great to get out, even if the trees are all bare and brown like you're experiencing. It does look like you did get a good dose of sunshine, always good for the body and mind.
Happy New Year everyone. Some incredible photos the last couple of weeks on the thread. I have caught up with the like button. I went into a self imposed technology break these holidays. Needed it! Very little shooting and what I did was with film. Planning a major consolidation in camera gear this year. This time I mean it

It's great to see you getting back into action, Regina!

Cheers everyone!
Consolidation, you say, eh? Hmm, I wonder, does that mean actually downsizing the collection, or something more along the lines of grouping it into subsets, then discovering that one or more of the subsets is incomplete, then buying more gear to fill in the gaps?
While you're thinking about that, here are a couple of photos of boardwalks in Olympic National Park, brought to you by the Fuji X-T4 and Lens Turbo II with the 24 f/2.8 NC.
That was my 2023 way of thinking, this is a new year. True downsizing this time

These eyes are watching, George. I'd hate for you to not succeed with the consolidation. Therefore, I shall PM you my shipping address .

Welcome back.
George, good luck with your consolidation plan. I have actually commenced my plan, and as of 10:13 a.m. EST today, my shipment to B&H was confirmed received and signed for. The deed is done. With the exception of one of my D500s and the 500 PF, I am for all practical purposes mirrorless. I am impressed with how my manual focus lens work on mirrorless and my eyes appreciate that I can actually focus with ease. I am loving the Z8 and the Zf. The Z6ii was my first mirrorless camera and reminds me in many ways of the D750 I used for events. It is a joy to use and I suspect if version III ever comes out I will likely try it out on trade. Time will tell. I love the Z lens I have already and I am actually looking forward to adding some Voightlander's to the mix. I love the Ultron 40 f/2. I can always borrow Hubby's D7200 if I feel the need!
Some how I missed this before and MAN do I regret it. I love this. Had to download a copy so I could keep enjoying it.
Oak Island started a Lantern Parade last year. We caught it randomly and it was pretty cool, so we went back and walked this year. It’s gotten ALOT bigger, hopefully it keeps growing, pretty cool way to bring in the New Year.
All with the 55mm f/1.2, usually f/2 or f/1.2, you can usually tell by the spherical aberrations which was which.

A few New Year's Eve day trip images taken with the Nikkor non-ai 50mm f2 lens shot in 590nm infrared. I spent about 3 hours shooting in the area where the first image was shot walking up and down the road shooting with various lenses in both color and infrared. It was quite amazing to see it in person.
