Just bought a new house in Tallahassee,Fl
and sold the old one getting your eyes worked on and trying to move is a PITA
Plus the dog is sick
Sounds like a country song
Will finish the move this week during it ourselves with help from Uhaul
Doing it in 2 separate trips
No time for photos but hopefully will be able to see better again
Will miss the ocean but instead of it being 15 minutes away I have the Gulf about an hour or so away

My 12 year old F-150 is still doing pretty well. From earlier today on my brother-in-laws farm. Went to shoot a pond with an IR filter on the Monochrom. Took this one along the way. No filter just black and white. Same W-Nikkor-C 2.8cm lens as yesterday.

And one more for the day. This from my destination. Crazy humid and too much cloud cover to get the black skies using the IR filter. Also a disadvantage of using a filter vs a converted camera is the requirement of long exposure times. This shot was 3 seconds and got a lot of motion blur in the trees. Will try again another day, but I know I can do better with some more practice.
Same camera/lens combo but with a 720nm IR filter.
George
Motion blur or no motion blur, George, that is a beautiful photo (as is your truck shot)!
On the subject of infrared and trucks, here are three images from a very small show sponsored by the American Heritage Truck Society and staged this afternoon at the BC Forest Discovery Centre in nearby Duncan, BC. These were taken with my IR converted Fuji X-T2 and the 16 f/3.5 Ai fisheye.
Thanks Glen. That last shot is so sharp and such contrast!

Night and day between a converted camera and IR filter and conversion post processing. Even if the sensor is a monochrome sensor. Hmmm.. Looking in my bag… I wonder if a Zfc would be a good candidate for conversion?

Glen - these are great! Up there as some of my favorite IRs from you. Little sunstars too. That 16/3.5 rocks on the Fuji.

Shot like you missed the place . I'm sure there's more. Hope you are happy with the sharpness of these. They look fine, even on this rubbish laptop monitor. It manages to turn everything red orange looking.
Yes, I am happy with the sharpness, as long as it matches what's on my computer. I'm using a new exporting formula and it seems to help.

You guys and your new trucks. My F250 is 17 years old.
We were driving past our local dealer and a Bronco caught my eye, so I thought for the heck of it I'd turn in to check it out. The thing was $50,000!!! And...it was used!!! I got out of there fast before a salesman came out.
About your pic, I love the dodging and burning you did to it. I also love the image at the pond.
Love it when you take walks and share with us. The infrastructure in some cities amazes me. Just look at the pipes and conduits on the side of the building in the first image.

I hear you about prices! I briefly looked earlier this summer since dealer stock has started to return. But then I saw the sticker prices and some dealers still putting add on above the sticker for some models. No way. My truck quickly turned in to my “forever truck”. So I gave it some love with new wheels and tires.

You say that George but that Monochrome in your hands produces images that I'd love to be able to create.
That sensor, your framing, subject matter and PP does produce a special, signature look.
