When present day cars run on bicycle profile tyres, it must be extremely satisfying to cruise on such fat tekkies(what is called sneakers outside South Africa). These are adorable cars I may never get to experience.

Just lurking but I read every post
Still having vision problems and now just finished cataract surgery
Just bought a new house in Tallahassee,Fl
and sold the old one getting your eyes worked on and trying to move is a PITA
Plus the dog is sick
Sounds like a country song
Will finish the move this week during it ourselves with help from Uhaul
Doing it in 2 separate trips
No time for photos but hopefully will be able to see better again
Will miss the ocean but instead of it being 15 minutes away I have the Gulf about an hour or so away
Hang in there, Reagan. I have heard that cataract surgery is life-changing. I hope it gets you back on the photography saddle.
When I last moved (2009) I swore I'll never/ever do it again. Then I decided to renovate the house this year, forcing a move out. Another thing I'm now swearing never to do again. Hope the dog is well soon.

Glad to hear you are well Curtis, You were a young 69 when the thread started, I was a kid at 59! how time flies! this thread has added much enjoyment to my life over the years, albeit at a cost! $$$. Call it an investment. My Heirs will benefit as will those who buy the lenses then/
I saw this post from last year when searching for Curtis’ last post to see what he’s up to. I see he hasn’t posted for 11 months. Hope he’s well and enjoying himself.
Rafael mentions how old they were when this thread started which made me think how old I was and what I was doing back then. Joining this thread coincided around the time I left a small Aussie city and moved to crazy crowded Hong Kong.
I wasn’t part of the thread for the absolute start, but pretty close after. Man … I must have been around 41. So long ago!
A guy from Brazil who I met in HK via Flickr told me about this thread while were out shooting one day and let me use one of his MF Nikkors. It was love at first sight (with the lens … not the guy ).
I know I disappear for long periods and then return, but this is still the best photographic thread on the internet
Shot like you missed the place . I'm sure there's more. Hope you are happy with the sharpness of these. They look fine, even on this rubbish laptop monitor. It manages to turn everything red orange looking.
In keeping with the car theme, I will go completely opposite from Rafael's colorful west coast cruising and present my ride in southern country cruising style
My 12 year old F-150 is still doing pretty well. From earlier today on my brother-in-laws farm. Went to shoot a pond with an IR filter on the Monochrom. Took this one along the way. No filter just black and white. Same W-Nikkor-C 2.8cm lens as yesterday.

How can a 12 year old offroader look this fresh! You must be caring for it like you care for your NIKKORs. Nice one, George. The white frames really make the photos stand out.
Thanks! It has some bumps and bruises but they don't show a lot. It does have a new front bumper for some reason

Page needs more flowers. As long as Z does not transfer as shot aperture information on the photos, I shall not part with DSLR. Micro NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 on Z5, but I can't remember the aperture. Possibly F8 judging by the ISO.
Z5 + AI Micro NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8S | ISO 3200 -0.33EV
And one more for the day. This from my destination. Crazy humid and too much cloud cover to get the black skies using the IR filter. Also a disadvantage of using a filter vs a converted camera is the requirement of long exposure times. This shot was 3 seconds and got a lot of motion blur in the trees. Will try again another day, but I know I can do better with some more practice.
Same camera/lens combo but with a 720nm IR filter.
