Regina - I used a 55mm f/3.5 to capture the bug.
Raphael - Such well captured urban wisdom!
Jay, I award you the prize for best caption! That it is also a great photo, is a bonus

Luka, I love what you have been doing with the 55! The combination of how you compose and expose the photos, and how you process them, produces a magical result.
Well, I sold my very last autofocus lens today, and I am feeling a great sense of relief and possibility. I might move toward eventually culling my less-used MF lenses as well; but for the time being I'm going to enjoy exploring my lenses and my camera bodies more fully (especially once the D7200 has been converted for IR and returned to me).
Here are a few more photos from the Little Qualicum River, all courtesy of the 20 f/3.5 UD, whose qualities I am learning to appreciate more and more.

Love the last one Glen, the 20UD was one of my fave lenses on fuji XT2 and nikon bodies. Doesn't cover the sensor of my GFX unfortunately

Ponte Pietra,Verona a walking bridge across the Adige River:
The original dates to around 140 BC and has been destroyed (mainly floods) and rebuilt several times throughout its history. It was severely damaged by the retreating German army April 1945 and was rebuilt using the original materials and extensive use of photographic records.
The live entertainment was awesome and donated a Euro to the cause:
It was very wet during our three day visit. I was the only fool down here.
We are seeing a resurgence of young photographers, for a while it was all grey haired ones.
All these were taken with a lens I hate, the 85mm 2.0 ais, very buggy at 2.0, although it cleans up nice when closed. The real issue is too loose and too short-throw a focus ring. I thought I was grabbing the 35mm 2.0 ais, an excellent lens, same size and appearance as this 85mm.
