Very nice! Those thunderstorms rolled through here eventually.
Have to say I don't love the 6-blade aperture, but the early Nikkor finish with the metal focus ring is just so nice to use.. Taken with the TTartisan 6-bit adapter which gives some EXIF and focus confirmation on Z bodies

With the TTartisan adapter are you limited to the preset focal lengths of 28, 35, 50, 75, 90 and 135 to get the focus confirmation or can you manually enter wider than 28mm i.e. 25mm 21mm etc and can you enter standard focal lengths that Nikon uses like 85mm and 105mm vs 75 and 90?
Also, assuming you are going double adapter of Nikon F to Leica M then to the TTartisan 6-bit?
Thanks
George

My Royal Star Magnolia is now taller (about 7') than I am since planting it after my transplant in 2019. It was less than 2" high when I purchased it. On the 13th It burst open with about 50 flowers. Here is one bud D850 55mm f3.5 ai micro & TC-16A

Unfortunately it’s limited to 28,35,50,75,90,135 and afaik there is no way to enter additional focal lengths yourself. I typically use it with 28mm or 50mm lenses so that works for me. The 105mm works fine with the 90mm setting, but it’s of course not ideal.
I assume the adapter would recognize other focal lengths if the lens (or adapter) had the respective Leica 6-bit code applied. But that would still only get you focal lengths of existing Leica lenses (18mm, 21mm, etc), no 85 or 105.
Yes I‘m using two adapters - Nikon F to Leica M and then M to Z. Works really well with the smaller Nikkors and I was lucky that both adapters fit well with no wobble.
Nikon M synch, 5cm 1.4 SC, very expired Kodak EliteChrome, it was right at the bottom of my film shelf in the fridge (yes that's quite a mess). Wondered how the scratches on my glasses happened, well I see now, there's that little viewfinder with its sharp pointy border!
I recently got hold of the grip for the Makina at a somewhat reasonable price. It makes the camera SO much more handholdable. The grip is light so doesn't add too much weight....Show more →
Thanks for that info! I may have to check it out for my LTM Nikkor lenses.

I ordered one on Amazon this morning and it was delivered this evening. It does well with focus confirmation on the 5cm f/2, f/1.4 and 3.5cm f/2.5 LTM Nikkor. Hit or miss with the 2.8cm and mostly miss with the 2.5cm (with adapter set to 28mm). I am going to do some more tests Wednesday (jury duty tomorrow)
