These posts with the 50mm f2 HC are outstanding. One technical question though. If one was to purchase one of these lenses, what adapter is required for use on a Z camera? Mike

I'm filled with regret at having provoked you to respond in this way, in this thread. I will stick to posting pictures.
Apologies everyone.
No need or apologies Siphiwe, my neighbor Mike had not understood the topic of this thread, easy to understand as the thread is so long, nothing wrong on his part but also nothing wrong on you for providing information.
Very Respectfully

Bronica S, Nikkor 25cm f4 Q, Fuji Pro 400H. This lens is the first one I have run into where the mount does not work on the EC-TL (and presumably on the S2 or S2A Bronicas). Its exclusively for the the S and older Bronica cameras.
Excellent photo Samy, love the contrast of the older and newer buildings, that lens is on my short list to get in S mount.

Hi all
I dug out my old 105/2.5 ais and brought it out for a ride around home.

Working on computers and wiring today I came across a 3TB drive that I thought was a goner. Found I bunch of 2016-2018 photos (these are from 2013) and some were shot with the 105mm f2.5 ais. It is another lens I constantly have guilt about not using enough.

Serge,
I always wondered what those golden "PASSED" stickers were on some Nikkor lenses - hmmm

Hi, everyone:
Colin, keep them coming, excellent photography of awesome scenery.
James, your lenses seem to be in pristine condition. You should apply for the Rafael gold seal of approval.

The application fee is a measly $1,000 per lens, and you get lifetime free replacement golden stickers! just send me a check and the lens too, if it does not pass I won't send it back.
I am ready to buy a 5mp camera, either a Z7 or a Z7II, will bypass the D850 as I have a D800 and a D810.
Any advice on either? should I wait for the Z8?
On another hand my neighborhood is filled with Encinas, they grow to be pretty or strange, depending on location and circumstance. Here is a shot of a grove that has burned several times but never died:
This with the RF 5cm 1.4, nothing sharp here but I like it.
At my place I accumulated palm fronds and yearly clearing debris for many years in the little ravine/dry creek. Being from the tropics I thought it would rot into dirt. This being California, it never did and just became a fire hazard. This weekend finally got around to chipping into little pieces. The team was all from Guerrero, very hard working, his truck got stuck and had to be pulled with mine.
Been fostering the growth of Encinas for a long time, there are many in different stages now, very hardy tree. From Google: "Quercus agrifolia, the California live oak coast live oak, or holm oak, is a highly variable, often shrubby evergreen oak tree, a type of live oak, native to the California Floristic Province."

Thanks for the comment.
You would need a Nikon FTZ or FTZ2 to mount it.
I use the original FTZ that came with my Z6+kit lens package.
The FTZ-2 does away with the annoying tripod foot extension that is present on the FTZ.

p.s there are third party Nikon F to Z adapters available too.
Grindelwald and the Maettenberg as seen through the plastic windows of the Eiger Express gondola.
I like how the foreboding shadow of the Eiger splits the town in two.
Monastery San Juan De Los Reyes (ca 1504), Toledo. Commissioned by King Ferdinand II and Queen Isabella I to commemorate the the birth of their son and victory at the Battle of Toro. It s a massive structure located at one of the highest areas of the the city.
Serge is visiting the beginnings of the Spanish empire while I visit the ends of it.
The 300 to 400 year old Spanish empire, started in 1492 and ended in the 1820s for most of Latin America, and in 1898 with the Spanish American war that moved Cuba, Puerto Rico, las islas Filipinas etc., to the American Empire.
Texas, Nuevo México, California, Colorado, etc. were taken in the 1850s from Mexico, in the Mexican American war.
California was a late development for the Spanish with this much simpler and smaller door being 300 years newer at San Juan Capistrano than Serge's at San Juan de los Reyes.
The external lock is interesting, and the detail from the Millennium lens is a pixel peeper's delight!
Mary, The queen doesn't like blueberries, and she isn't crazy about fruit pies either. It must be an Aussie thing? So, the kids and I ate them out of the bowl.

Five MP? There's the D1h/D1x combo, D50/D70s was 6MP...

I guess the ‘4’ fell of your keyboard.
Everything on the second version is a little better/faster than on the first version.
You have two card-slots.
Perhaps main thing is the 900 seconds shutterspeed on the II in manual mode.
Z8 will be more MPx I guess. Lot of people think it will be a baby Z9 (AF goodies) and it will be expensive. You probably have to wait until CP+ (end February). If they announce a Z8 the market will be flooded with Z7 (II)’s.
So I would wait for a few more weeks.
As I think you’re not interested in AF speed a Z7 will be the best option.

Rafael, thanks. Just beware mine has a mount specific to the older Bronicas (S, D, Z). It doesn't attach to the S2 or EC Bronicas. Some of the earlier lenses are like that. And the 25cm is a bit of an oddball, it was originally designed for the rangefinder line but a few were built with that older Bronica mount. You maybe talking about the rangefinder S mount version though, just realized after typing all that
