This usps nightmare is for another item, and it has been sitting at a "unknown usps facility" in a Christmas annex in a shipping container for three days. The lpcal post office is looking into it for me, as it is literally 10-12 miles away from house. I just see an update, and apparentit was shipped back to Denver - I can't believe it.
The 200mm was very early in the year, and it really was accidental. I have a 20 year old habit of watching items on ebay, and the person with the listing wrote me offering a fair price. I usually have a price I am willing to pay hard wired in my head. I countered the already reduced offer with my predetermined amount. Fully expecting they would reject it, or counter. They accepted the offer - ooops.

Wow. Well it is not just USPS. First of the month I had a Fedex package make a 10 day trek that was supposed to be 2nd day delivery. At least that is what I paid for. It went past my exit off of the interstate (4 miles away) 3 different times as it bounced locations.
I guess they are having an incredible load this season too. It seems like they are putting a Fedex magnet sign on any vehicle they can use for delivery. A lot of plain white wrapper vans being used around here for delivery.
So much to experiment with, this is the 800 with TC and last nights moon. as a note for those that are curious there was vignetting at the corners. Also while I cant post the pic here I tried the Samyang 14mm 2.8 and it completely covered the sensor and was sharp to the edges. I wish I could find one of my ultra wide Nikkors that could do that. I do have several 20-24mm's to try.
First with TC and Cropped, second is without TC and shows you the whole image so you can see the vignetting at the corners.
Third is no TC Crop.

You can tell the TC really cuts the sharpness. You can probably crop in post and get better results.
