We're just back from Long Boat Key and kept track of the thread via IPhone. Brilliant shots all ... but the shocking one came from Colin. Being a Floridian who likes Corvettes, I was SHOCKED to see a snow covered BEEMER!
Here is some shots to remedy that condition,.
Hope the memories of Little Gull carry you through winter!
The latest arrival 8mm f/8. nearly perfect. Viewfinder paint needs a little cleaning.
It is very hard to find the 8mm f/8 in excellent condition, it is older, smaller production numbers than the others, its body is fatter/deeper and can be damaged by photomic finders, it was the first 35mm production fisheye, and infamous as the eye of HAL 9000 in 2001: A space odissey.

David, excellent photo. The brothel is no longer in business!
I drove by the sign and airplane for three days before I read it. It was down the road a couple of miles from my RV park. I passed on a photo then saw the sign and laughed at my little risqué joke.

Ken,
I hope you were sitting comfortably at the time and have recovered from the shock.
Did you change your 'Vette recently. I thought yours was white?

Congrats Mark ! I did have a look at prices on Cyber Monday but want the 50S. They do seem to appear on the B&S forum really cheap.
Your future lansdscape and cityscape images would be well served by a medium format Fuji........
In the UK the 50R has also benefited from sales week. It has dropped from £3199 to £2199.
That is not much more than a Z6ii body and £700 less than a Z7ii body at current pricing.
I bagged my first ever grown-up tripod during the sales.
It was an impulse purchase but 50% reduction on a Manfrotto carbon fibre was too good to miss.
My travel tripod has served me well (and will continute to do so) but there have been many occasions where I lamented not having something more substantial.
Tachihara 4X5, Nikkor-W 180 f5.6, Tri-X 320 developed in HC-110, dilution B.
The actual grave is in the back of the small, non-descript cemetery, while this gravestone was built later, just inside the front gate. Some very old graves there, one near this spot was marked with a birthdate of 1776.
I recently bought an Innorel CF one with 40mm legs, makes such a difference in windy conditions

I know I have shown this old wagon frame before, but I wanted to see how the tiny 25mm LTM lens would do with this subject. The natural light that time of day is hard to manage. Used a Nikkor Y52 yellow filter to help with the contrast. 16:9 crop

Love the contrast and the touch of light on the wagon, (radial filter I assume). Normally, the blown out sky would bother me, but it doesn't take away at all in the image, well done.

Thanks Leighton. There is a flood of natural light on the wagon and I brought it out/blended it more with the dodging brush in LR. Burned the sides, enhancing the normal vignetting of that lens. The old barn has openings at the top like is in the background all the way around and is an open pull through directly behind my shooting position. The only way to not get the blown sky would be HDR bracketing or getting Steve to ship me a bunch of his strobes from UK
I took a trip along the Great Ocean Road last week, hoping for sunset at the 12 Apostles but the weather didn't co-operate. Great drive back in the Benz though - no tourists !
I did go down the Gibson Steps which give access to Gibson's Beach, the next bay along. I was hoping to be able to walk around the point but alas it wasn't possible. There are 2 more "Apostles" though.
