We're just back from Long Boat Key and kept track of the thread via IPhone. Brilliant shots all ... but the shocking one came from Colin. Being a Floridian who likes Corvettes, I was SHOCKED to see a snow covered BEEMER!
Here is some shots to remedy that condition,.
Hope the memories of Little Gull carry you through winter!
The latest arrival 8mm f/8. nearly perfect. Viewfinder paint needs a little cleaning.
It is very hard to find the 8mm f/8 in excellent condition, it is older, smaller production numbers than the others, its body is fatter/deeper and can be damaged by photomic finders, it was the first 35mm production fisheye, and infamous as the eye of HAL 9000 in 2001: A space odissey.
Mark, congrats on the new camera, very impressive results, another medium format convert here!

Wow Wow Wow, I am in love with the new camera and adapter! Cyber Monday brought the Fuji GFX 50R down enough to say just do it and I got the expensive boosted version of the Metabones adapter. to give pretty much 1 to 1 with my Nikkors.
I am delighted to say, no crop at all! And the files that come from it, I am just floored! Here are a few test photos on some of the lenses.
I will have some more later, I took out the Fisheye, 20 2.8 Ultra, 45P, 55 2.8, 15 3.5, 50-300 ED. All worked exceptionally. In adapter heaven now!...Show more →
Any suggestions for a 35mm mf lens? I was looking at the 1.4 ais? Any other suggestions as I知 looking to fill the gap between my 20 3.5 ais and 58 1.4g
Also enjoyed the Rome singer in the darkness, the well-lit medium format wagon, and not to forget the colourful Zfc and the DX kestrel. Great stuff on the last couple pages!

I don't have that one, I have the 35 f2 OC and the older 3.5cm f2.5 S. Both need adapting to some cameras. I am pretty happy with them but some here may find the 1.4 ais version sharper.
There's also a 35 f1.4 N, the glass usually is yellowed over time. That might be the only Nikkor that has radioactive glass.
Or if you have a Z mirrorless camera, you can also readily adapt the Nikkor 3.5cm rangefinder lenses (f3.5, f2.5 or f1.8 versions). LTM versions of those lenses are easier in terms of working with an adapter.
There's also several PC versions, both f/3.5 and f/2.8, if you think you will use the lens for any architectural photos.

Thanks Leighton. There is a flood of natural light on the wagon and I brought it out/blended it more with the dodging brush in LR. Burned the sides, enhancing the normal vignetting of that lens. The old barn has openings at the top like is in the background all the way around and is an open pull through directly behind my shooting position. The only way to not get the blown sky would be HDR bracketing or getting Steve to ship me a bunch of his strobes from UK

Seems to be a lot of love for the 35mm f2 O around here. I had the 35 f1.4 ais and it was tack sharp.
I have two of the 35mm f/2 lenses. I also have two of the 28 f/2 lenses.

Wednesday, I was getting a migraine at work, took my meds, and thought little more. Thursday, still had migraine, and started coughing. Took more migraine meds, and kept going. Friday, sneezing joined the coughing, and also stuffy nose along with the migraine. Got home from work and felt really tired. Went to bed early, and got up at my normal go to work time... I still felt tired, so actually called off. I have a pulse ox reader from my days as an aide/nursing student, and it always read in the upper 90's for me those days, so figured it was just a cold...
My daughter said I should go get tested, but I balked. Called the nurse line, and after going over everthing, they agreed a test was in order. Go to the base ER, and they do the test (no more brain biopsy thankfully) and I wait for the doc. He checks my lungs and says they are clear. I nap on the stretcher (I brought it down from the upright position by myself...) Doc comes in a while later and says congrats, it's covid. So yeah, I'm a breakthrough case. I had planned on getting my booster shot but couldn't get away from work to get it. Six months from my second shot was 01 Nov.
If you're past your six months from your second shot, go get the booster. Yes I wore my masks religiously at work and anywhere else in public. I've done most of my grocery shopping via pick up service or delivery service. I'm out of work for at least 10 days now. Thankfully I have annual leave and sick leave to cover me. I'm pretty sure that it is a work related transmission.

Very funny Samy - she's not a singer, but here's some bubbles in the sun. Nikkor 5cm f1.4

Hope you get to feeling better soon, got my booster 6 months to the day, no reactions and glad I got it, especially with the new variant popping up now. I think the shots will be a way of life for a long time to come!
