Mark,
I like the photos. Got a question about your watermark - is there a story about "ark Abraham"?
I shot an entire broadsheet newspaper section in 2007 about two friends from a religious college that began home brewing beer together (Founders Brewing). They sold it in 2019 to Mahou San Miguel's a Spanish Brewing conglomerate for 198.8 million dollars. May you have as much success in your "home" brewing. It looks like you are taking it seriously.
Jim
Lol, it has been raining a LOT here lately, maybe its my subconscious telling me to start building a large boat for all the Nikkors! Too funny, thanks for pointing that out! Beers on tap right now, Pale Ale, Blueberry Ale, Orange Wheat and a hard Apple Cider. Come on over, we can share a few pints and a few stories!

Some from yesterday, was contained to the house waiting on a riding mower delivery. So I roasted some coffee for one of my daughters and then made them a fresh pan pizza from scratch. The rest of the dough was used for a loaf. Liking the Fuji more and more, however the shallower DOF is noticed with a crop sensor so I will need to embrace that more! The IS is superb!
We realized that was the first time in a few years it was just the 6 of us sitting down to eat a meal together. They are all out on their own now 23, 25, 27, 29. Youngest brought her dog Hero so I caught a quick snap. They ate all the pizza, lol, snarfed it down, it was pretty good! If your wondering about the big pots, that whole area in the garage is my beverage lab, coffee roasting, beer making, wine making, and soon essential oil distilling, lots of fun!...Show more →

Doug,
I just use Photoshop's "photo merge". I usually access it through Lightroom, and just right click > edit in > merge to panorama.
James:
Yep, pretty much what I do - sometimes hand held, sometimes with a tripod (especially if I am going for best result possible).
I know there are programs out there just for this, so was wondering if you were using one of them or PS.
Thanks
Doug

Nice colors Scott. Is that a new lens?
Colin, I have had this for awhile. I use it for architectural work but like to use it for landscapes occasionally. I have Jay to thank for getting me to acquire this lens. He let me try his when we got together a few years ago.

Just enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon at home. My wife made some delicious pumpkin bread. Now ready for a cup of coffee on the back deck.
Trying some stacking shots with the Nikkor-OC 50mm 2.8 for Bronica lens
George
George, the pumpkin bread looks great! We are going to make some but will add some dark chocolate chips to the mix.

Some fresh roasted coffee sounds great right now on this dreary rainy gray October day. Mark, you should give us a tour of your beverage lab.
Jay owns more than one 24mm?
Rafael, there's a blessing in being a content homebody.
Two interesting faces in the last street shot Ben. I want to know what the guy in the background did next (if anything).
Sunset and fall color should be posted big, Scott. Just wonderful!
Phillipe, absolutely love the first Lake Soustons picture in the trees.
The smell of fresh roasting coffee is one of my 7 aroma wonders of the world, my visit to Kona Hawaii truly drew me into coffee roasting! Best of all, most of the family loves the hobby too amd that allows me to buy in greater bulk!
Couple comments about the past couple pages. James the lake shots are terrific, taken down low gets a really great perspective.
Ben you got a stare/glare out of one of your street people. Takes guts.
Raphael with two Corvettes you need to be on the open road at every opportunity ... that way you appreciate home even more upon your return,
Scott terrific shot
This is Marquette and yes I stitched the long Ore Dock. One shot show the expanse of Lake Superior. It's breathtaking like the ocean,
The Blueberry Ale Regan? Bar Arbor Blueberry Ale definitely was the inspiration for my efforts, I am told by friends that my Blueberry Ale is truly awesome, along with my Royal Raspberry Wheat (real Raspberries) that sits at %10.5 that tastes like a 5%.

Jay - I didn't know what Little Caesar's was when I read your comment, I had to look it up. As for Pizza Hut, no there's no Pizza Hut in Rome. Pizza is something we're quite serious about. Even if there were such establishments here, I'm afraid I would have to draw the line. As my nanna used to say, "you can stoop and pick up nothing".
ben
Well, Ben, around here we're quite serious about hamburgers, which lately have been elevated to the exalted 'artisan ' level.
Too bad about Little Caesar's not being present, I can imagine the tourists flocking to it, even if the natives would avoid it.
This series was a test of, I'm embarrassed to admit, one of four lenses of this focal length I'm harboring. I've a similarly uninspired 24mm f/2.8 AF. It's not a bad lens, but it doesn't compare to the 24mm f/3.5 PC-E or the fabulous 24mm f/1.4 AF.
Serge I always wondered if there was a Motif No. 2? Maybe just in back of No. 1?

Reminds me of a guy I used to work with when I was in UK and EU a lot for business. No matter where we were at, he would look for a Burger King and if in a pub or restaurant he would order Budweiser. We were surrounded by some of the best beer in the world and Budweiser??
