Yeah, I've gotten four emails from UPS saying they've changed my delivery dates on items shipped, too. Truck drivers are a scare commodity, and everybody's looking for someone with their CDL Our local transit authority is cutting routes because they don't have enough drivers (doesn't help that their pay scale is too low for starting pay)

Just submitted a lost claim with FedEx this morning. I am down to UPS now. 3 lost USPS packages and two lost FedEx packages this year. Plus the planned USPS delays starting tomorrow.
That is an awesome photo, and reminds me of Leonard Nimoy, who was also into photography.

There was no way I was going to post this, but Curtis insisted I should. Just playing around with the 35/2.0 O on Df. Guesstimated focus with a low-tech selfie stick, my right arm.

James - I am so flattered. And I love this effect......well, duh. I don't know what the original looked like but this is pretty dramatic for a fishing pic......not sure I see the Ponte Vecchio, this pic is so dark that that empty chair has me worried, it's as if he's just launched his friend's body downstream.
And here I was thinking to get your stamp of approval, only the outline of the rocks would be visible.

I almost sold the Leica. Got it all together with the boxes and accessories, took pictures and everything. Then went out to shoot with it one more time. Nope, not happening. Yet....

Breaking up is torturous George. I'm seeing progress though. Bravo for boxing everything up, getting the accessories together and taking some shots. I wouldn't go penning the actual advert yet ... I think your still a way off (~2024?). You're definitely getting there though. Baby steps

Thank you Dean for your nice comment.
And sorry for f4. Due to this pandemic, 4 months continuously I haven’t come back home yet. I’m really eager to take some analog photos with nikkor 3514 thorium on.
I was just messing with you, Phong But yeah, I reckon that will be a really nice combination and looking forward to seeing your shots once things get back to normal.

Dean, Love that double exposure. NLP is the best color from color negatives I have ever seen. Not just from my own scans/scanners, but even from corporate/commercial drum scanning labs.
Agree. It's an amazing plugin. It makes shooting film a lot more pleasurable but time consuming as you just want to rescan all your old negs again. To make it even worse, each update of NLP gets better and probably improves the quality again. Nate the programmer is incredibly talented.

Ilford would be nice idea for this specific lens right

First thing I saw in the last shot (Cliff Detail) was the face in the rocks. Are you traveling around the country that much still?
I did not see the face until you mentioned it!
I am revisiting some old shots and staying home. These are from a very rainy and cloudy June visit to Maine. The fresh leaves in the NE were a characteristic bright yellow green that I call the spring foliage season.

I'm not sure. The only Ilford I've ever shot is XP2 400 because it can be developed quickly at a lab in colour chemicals. I don't like the grain very much though.
My friend loves HP5. I also hear Delta 100 is very good too. When I was shooting lots of B&W I mostly shot TRI-X 400 which I really liked.
Ken - that's a wonderful shot. I can't believe you "guesstimated" focus with a selfie stick. I can't get focus even with all the latest technical assistance.
Luka - those mist shots are so evocative.
I have a new toy - the 5cm f1.4 LTM mount. The lens is small and the LTM adapters are tiny. I was using the 50mm f1.8 series E which is virtually a pancake but the adapter doubles the bulk (the FTZ adapter is pretty much the same size as the nikon to canon adapter).

Nice, congrats. You and George should talk, he has a whole stable full of LTM mounts.
Thanks for all the kind comments and “likes” and even from Ben, the master of the noire look. I took 3 shots at arm’s length, trying not to drop the camera. Each was at a slightly different focus; only one had a halfway decent composition. Fortunately that was the one that was in focus, though I didn’t nail it exactly.

Do you have the early or later version of that lens?
Hmm, shrug? It's not the O.C. SN 804920, lets see... Roland says its in the last of the F, before the C. MIR seems to say the optical design is unchanged? This was AI'd, looks like John White's work. Anything more I should know?

No, you got it all. I looked after I posted and they're all the same except the Ais version which has the shorter focus throw.

I picked up some XP2 at the shop closest to me. They only develop C-41 so was the only black and white they had. The couple rolls I had them develop were very thin compared to TRI-X. Did not really like it. I still have two rolls left. May try another lab for those and see if I get better results.
