Colin, I centred the sun in the frame to avoid some ghosting and flare, but in general the 28mm is fairly resistant to flare...
I did frame a few shots with the sun positioned a little further up, but have a subtle purple ghost in the opposite side of the frame.
This was a single exposure, and looking at my LR adjustments its pretty much as is.
I use the ColorFidelity Standard profile, and defaults are usually -33 contrast. But this image I "increased" it to 0

Hi all, as it seems that Ben is posting again I have no choice but to dust my old trusty 50/1.8 ais and to infect that thread with my street shots. Please don't blame me, I don't really have a choice.

SonyA7M3 & 50/1.8 ais
lol......I was wondering how long it would take. It's not enough that you give me stick on Flickr, you want to beat me here too.
Well, you're off to a great start because this is a great shot. The B and W are perfect for this..... after all, it's another unhappy frenchman,......
I've already posted but here goes.....at least it's in colour (85mm f1.8H/Canon R5)

haha to beat you ? Really? but that's what friends are for.... anyway that's what our Australian "friends" have just explained to us....
See what I mean - already a swipe over the submarines. Still, I can take it and I'm very glad you're here. Like old times.
So I got a non-functioning Nikkor-Q 135 f/2.8. It had already been Ai'd and it only cost $20, so it seemed like a good opportunity to get my working 135 Ai'd without permanent modification. That went fine.
The real surprise is that the non-functioning 135 is actually still quite functional. It took a hit at some point which seems to have dented the hood and focus ring enough that they were interfering with each other. Simply removing the hood allowed the focus ring to turn freely and smoothly. With a donor lens, I could have a new focus ring and hood on this one in no time. For now I'll just use it without the hood, odd as it looks.
Here it is, sans hood, taken with the newly Ai'd 135 on the D500. Ignore the dusty mousepad backdrop.

I've already commented on Flickr she's a great subject and what a sensational pic this is, but I notice the blackboard behind her is all in English. I know, I know; I'm not supposed to notice details....but "censored", "fish n chips"??
Rafael - 'Vive la France'?? Seriously? I'm surprised at you.
Jay I really like the Maine shots and the snow roofs that allow little snow to accumulate. Builder of the 19th century were so far ahead of their time. So much common sense and ingenuity!
Ben and Phillipe good to see you both back for the striking images you both present. The thread id the true winner of your competition.
Think these re the last of Drummond Island and the middle shot is looking at a hazy Canada. At one of the Marina's there is a Government iPad for Canadians to register when they cross into the USA by small boat, or if in winter snow-mobile. Nothing Fancy - just practical!
