Hi all - I've been so wrapped up in camera club and judging and taking (I hate to say it) - AF images that I haven't spent any time at all with the old favourites.
I do have the following opportunity to acquire what appears to be a "K" lens
"Hello Peter. the serial number of micro-nikkor 55mm lens is 869671' - according to photo synthesis this is a K lens for which there was an Ai kit
The price is reasonable $ 160 odd but can it be made to work on my D200/7100? Any advice welcome.
The multiphot set came in. great condition, nearly new after a good outside cleaning. These are nice lenses but they seem overpriced to me. Paid a reasonable price and could make a good profit if I wanted. May these will pay for a Nocturnal some day!.
They are much ore rare than the Noct, about 2000 made of each. These are camera lenses, not microscope lenses, they have adjustable apertures. The lenses came with the original adapters for the F mount.
The lens photos were taken with a 13 year old D3 and a 45 year old 55mm 3.5.
Nice set. I saw the listing you bought you got a good deal for the lot. Seen them sell for more than double that. The rarity I guess drives the price to some degree. You have a lot of nice toys.

Thank you Jeremy, these lenses are not my first purchase priority but the price was decent. Really want a Noct or an OP. Don,t like Noct prices and OPs are very hard to find.
The multiphot lenses are perfectly clean inside, all works.
These are my first benchtop test shots.
The 12 cm is easy to use, the 65mm eminetly usable, the 35mm a bit of a pain and the 19mm is really for professionals with the proper stand. The last two need microscopic focusing and good lighting, all I have is a PB-6.
I don't see myself becoming a focus stacking insect photographer, will likely sell these after I enjoy them a little. To get the best magnification one needs truly flat stand, micrometer focusing, and microscope lighting.
sample from the 19mm, did not have enough light, could not set my tripod truly vertical. My focusing gear is too coarse/gross for this. That is the EW from the word Jewels in the photo from the 65mm.
These Multiphot lenses render a very crisp and 3D like image.
This may be my only gold coin, although I don't think Barre means gold. I collected a bunch of low value coins from around the world when I was 10, did not care what metal, interested in the country and age.
This is one of 5 casings made for the 'Little Boy' atomic bomb between 1945 and 1950. Only one was ever used. Hiroshima on 6th August 1945. One too many......
My attempt get back into shooting again. I am taking my whole family to stay in FL for a month. We're all doing online for learning and working. We've been here for a week now and I managed to get one picture for posting. It's a start.
In times past farms and mines used to issue their own coinage.
" In El Salvador, metal mining made a minor contribution to the economy in the
late 19th and early 20th centuries when Charles Butters—who pioneered the
cyanide process for gold extraction—opened several gold mines. Some of
those mines continued to be highly productive until gold prices plummeted in
the 1930s and most operations were shut down"
A photo taken by Nikkor 35mm F/1.4 Thorium.
Yellowing thorium coating seems to work perfectly in this available light.
Attached to Sony A7s through non-E adapter, no F data available. But I believe it's captured at F/5.6.
