Well done. I'd love to have that setup.
I'm 100% sure I'd screw up the instalation though
The Df is becoming appealing again.
Is the green focus confirmation dot still active after instaling the focus screen?
Thanks Dean. Yes still active, no change in focus confirmation dot. I do have the custom menu set so that it does not show the focus area indicator when a manual focus lens is mounted so it does not interfere with (overlay on) the split image section.
Thanks for all the well wishes. Your words meant a lot.
Alas, I am saddened to report that my father (89) passed away yesterday evening. As previously communicated this was not unexpected but it still shocks you to the core. What took the extended family completely by surprise was the sudden death of my father's older brother (93) earlier the same day. The clan is in mourning.

Very sorry for your loss, Colin.
No-one is ever fully prepared for the passing of a loved one.

Condolences Colin. That's quite a shock, both brothers on the same day. Were they close?

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very hard losing a parent, let alone a parent and an uncle on the same day! You have my deepest sympathies.

So sorry to hear.
Follow the group not really a member but saddened by the news.
Stay safe.
Colin, sorry for the double loss your family has taken. Even though the brain knows, the heart has a hard time accepting. Thoughts go to you and yours at this time.

My condolences Colin, hope their long life and time spent with their families soothes the pain with loving memories.
So the last 105mm I will ever buy came. I bought for the ai ring for my perfect lens, but this came in an excellent user condition, so I will keep it as is, not in my hall of fame but it will surely be used. Minor paint damage and very light dust inside. The mandatory test shows it is as sharp as the 105mm 2.5 ais that I bought new.
