Is that near Fisherman's Wharf? I did not get the chance to go there last year, but have a distant memory of the spot and getting on the tram near there from ~15 years ago. One other thing I also remember is the sea lions parked out there.
Unfortunately today there's a news item on a fire that's destroyed part of the pier at Fisherman's Wharf.
Kristian, I have an AI-s 50 F1.4 I do not use because there are some grains of sand in the focusing mechanism so it needs to be cleaned at some point.
It was the lens which came with my Nikon FE.

Serge, perfect catch of the pelican in that pic!

Hi, Samy:
It is a bit of a walk from The Fisherman's Wharf. It is past past Pier 45 and Hyde Street Pier which also has very interesting historical ships. Keep walking along the beach and should see a substantial concrete pier that at its end, curves towards the city which is perfect for views. One can also see The Golden Gate from there. It is a great spot for photos and where the above was taken.
Just heard about the terrible fire. Sad news indeed but at least no serious injuries have been reported.
Samy, Curtis, Serge - love the west coast Bay Area photos. I have been to San Fran/Silicon Valley many times but never made it north across the bridge to Curtis' area. I will have to make a point to get there one day. Probably not this year. My one shot for work has already been canceled for this fall.
Samy - now that I am back in front of my laptop, when I looked at your post earlier on my phone, I did not catch that your pano was from the Makina 67. Just looked at it on your Flickr page. It is terrific.
Ben - loving that first shot! Love the expression and look captured. Welcome back.
Nice archway Scott. Quickly bridging to summer here. Humidity starting to rear its ugly head.
A couple of dusk shots around the neighborhood this evening with my “new” Nikkor-S 35mm f/2.8. Mostly at MFD, all wide open. I just love this lens for some reason!
A couple from a "Photo Circuit" at home organised by our camera club. These from the 80-200mm at 80mm 1/30s at f8 and f16 on a tripod. I was really amazed at the sharpness and clarity.
A few from our surreal market, taken with the 55mm f1.2 SC and X-T2.
By this time of the market season, things are going along like a well oiled machine. I have, by now, worked out all the early season kinks and basically all I have to do is book a few more musical acts and keep up with some paperwork. All the vendors know what to do about setting up, even the new ones.
I thought this year, I was just going to glide through it as my last year as manager and vendor. All I would have to do is walk around, schmooze with the customers and vendors and take ton's of photos. Boy was I wrong! The market itself is like nothing I've ever experienced, I've been in Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting with the City Manager. And, on top of all that, I'm not getting paid. Oh well, maybe this pandemic will ease up or go away totally before the end of the season and I can have a little fun before I leave for the last time.

I've got a 2011 Mac Mini here, but my 2012 laptop is finally showing its age. I'm debating on whether to get an iMac in a few months, or stick to the Windows world. I'd have to convert my PS 6 license to Mac, if it's still possible... I refuse to pay subscription. My son is one of those "Apple is evil" people... I am not a fan of Windows 10, I'm still running on Windows 7 here. I also have a 2005 Mac Mini here
My concern with Apple is upgrading RAM and HDD when >I< want to, which can be easily done in the "other" world. Either way, I'm reverting to a desktop.

I bet some of you never thought you'd see this in my house!
Leighton, its been a lot of work on your part, but I am glad to see you got the market up and running at least. I believe this is the weekend Ken was planning to show up there, along with a couple of us, for schmoozing.
Once its safe enough, I will plan to visit one of the markets around these parts to make up for it and post some pics.
