Congrats on the Mac, Leighton.
I've got a 2011 Mac Mini here, but my 2012 laptop is finally showing its age. I'm debating on whether to get an iMac in a few months, or stick to the Windows world. I'd have to convert my PS 6 license to Mac, if it's still possible... I refuse to pay subscription. My son is one of those "Apple is evil" people... I am not a fan of Windows 10, I'm still running on Windows 7 here. I also have a 2005 Mac Mini here
My concern with Apple is upgrading RAM and HDD when >I< want to, which can be easily done in the "other" world. Either way, I'm reverting to a desktop.
Coming from Windows it's a learning curve, but I'm catching on fast. I too, had Windows 7 and loved it, I don't like Windows 10 at all. Ever since they stopped support for 7, I have had little issues here and there. I also used a desktop for my Window machine, but since I am retiring, wanted to downsize to a laptop. I have been looking at them since January and finally decided on the MBP 16". I can always use it with my 27" monitor if I feel the need. Having said that, the new Dell 17" coming out looks like a killer machine, but alas, still Windows 10.
Unfortunately, I think I'm stuck with LR. I've tried all the others and keep coming back to it. I will say that I liked On1 the best out of the ones I tried. I guess I'll just suck it up and pay for the prescription. Good luck in figuring it all out.

Then we will just have to meet you there with you as a "customer", have some coffee, listen to some music, then grab a sandwich at the Depot Grille again

That sounds great. Let's get through this mess and make plans to do that.
George, since you're on, I'm having trouble viewing my Fuji RAW files in the photos app. They're in there, I just can't see the thumbnail preview. Any help?

Just looking, I don't have any Fuji RAW files in photos app (rarely use it), but select the jpg photo, then in the menu bar, select Images, then see if you can select "Use RAW as Original"

Kristian, I have an AI-s 50 F1.4 I do not use because there are some grains of sand in the focusing mechanism so it needs to be cleaned at some point.
It was the lens which came with my Nikon FE.

Leighton, its been a lot of work on your part, but I am glad to see you got the market up and running at least. I believe this is the weekend Ken was planning to show up there, along with a couple of us, for schmoozing.
Once its safe enough, I will plan to visit one of the markets around these parts to make up for it and post some pics.
Samy we were supposed to be in Virginia this week and the visit to the market was to be on the 30th. I agree that from what I saw at the market Leighton, (aka Tom) is a natural leader and had the situation in hand. There are people in this world that step up and “do” and there are others that sit back an watch. Leighton is in the former group.
Robin and I have been out to eat twice. But ..... all road trips have been scrubbed, even October’s trip to Az & Cali. We’ll probably end up going go to Az and Las Vegas. My friend who lives across SF Bay from Curtis near Napa is moving to Texas.
This is a virus that everyone’s going to catch someday after all it’s COVID 19, can’t wait for 20,21,22 etc. maybe a permanent lockdown is the answer.
The good news it’s supposed to be a busy hurricane season here in Florida. Wonder how they’re going to handle shelters. Having vented I feel better 🤗
A few bikes from Saturday. FE2 & 35/2 Ai-S using Portra 400. I really like this lens; it's perfect for just wandering around. I scanned these using a program called NegativeLabPro which seems pretty good so far. It has settings to emulate lab scanners such as the Fuji Frontier & Noritsu which sometimes look ok and sometimes not too good. There’s also settings to scan very flat and edit later which is great. More experimenting needed
The other day I read about someone who put a short extension tube/ring on an ultra-wideangle with interesting results. So now that the lockdown is slightly loose, I took to Gunnersbury Park and tried my 20mm/4.0 AIS with an old PK-1 ring (8mm) on my Z7, at f11.
This session was interesting and inspiring. Next time I will bring kneepads!
Forgot I took this one for the Pandemic Photo Challenge a while ago.
Beef with oven fried potatoes, tsatziki, Malmö Chili Mango Fever Habanero Sauce topped with some fresh Piri Piri pepper and some salad :P
