Look what happens when you start posting market shots Leighton... you get a ton of love. Wonderful set of images. We've MISSED those shots. Really happy you picked up Jack's 55 f/2.8 AI-s that clearly was being neglected...
Come on Jack... mount one of those Nikkors on your new Df and entertain us...
Here you go Curtis - your wish is my command!
#! is my new Df with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 non Ai (taken with a Fuji X-Pro2, Kipon Adapter, Nikon 50mm f/2.0 Ais).
#2 is my Nikon 55mm f/1.2 Ai (late run) taken with the Df & 105mm P f/2.5 Sonnar Ai
We've been pretty tied-up with our daughter's high school graduation, so not a lot of MF shooting lately. But I do have a couple 50/1.2 snaps from Balboa Park when the Museum of Photographic Arts was giving a sneak peek of Sebastião Salgado's "Genesis" exhibition.
Genesis opened on Friday and is comprised of over 200 of Salgado's prints in an exhibit that was curated by his wife, Lélia. The work is amazing. If you find yourself in the San Diego area this summer, a visit to MOPA to see Genesis will be well worth your time.
These lenses are actually bargain night time lenses, at 1.2 they are sharp and the only defect is some small butterflies on points of light at the edge of the frame, hardly noticeable in most cases. At 2.0 they perform great period.
A Shaka at 1.2. With the D3, Lights are well rendered.
Here's another one taken with my Df/85AIS/1.4 combo. This is of my little buddy. He likes to stick his head throughout the spindles on our porch while watching me putz in the yard. Kinda of one of his trademark things, so I thought I'd get a quick snap for posterity
I have one Rafael It's in a box somewhere in the house.

So to close the week, decided to look for photos of flowers with the one lens I own that noone in the thread has.... the 200mm Medical.
Do not have real flowers, so I use weeds, used the 1/2x auxiliary lens, these are tiny flowers.
We are ALL so happy when folks post photos of their gear! Thanks Steward, Rafael and Jack...
It is really easy to understand how folks can fall in love with these lenses... they are beautiful and those of us who shoot with them know they are pure pleasure to hold in the hand AND to use. I'll restrain myself from commenting on the latest and greatest from Nikon and other manufacturers. A lens without an aperture ring? Not for me.
Happy to have you back in the fold Jack. I LOVE your new Df. It looks delicious with that sweet lens. Now get out into the Montana summer and take some photos...
I took a few photos this morning while visiting Sue who lives about ten miles north of me. I saw some flowers during a walk and returned with my Df with the 135 f/3.5 Q AI with the PK-12 mounted. Here is a trio from the day...
Now I'm wondering what you'd get with extension tubes and that lens ...

Thank you for the likes and comments on Sedona. I'm in the process of using more of the trip and leaving Sedona and its Red Rocks.
A couple of comments:
Leighton its good to see your work with Jack's lens. Super market shots.
Raphael I like the car shot's and impressed with the medical Nikkor.
Peter great car shots as usual.
Today is a bit further north in Arizona, near the old Route 66 and at the site of "Meteor Crater." It's on native American land and was the site of a meteor hitting the earth some 50,000 years ago. It's said it had the force of a 20 megaton bomb and the hole it left is impressive. The first shot is a "pano" using the 18mm lens the rest are other attempts to capture the crater. My guess is you would need to have a helicopter to do that.
The last shot is a meteorite found nearby and weighs 1500 lbs. It's the largest remnant found!
What is everyone's opinion/experiences on the all-metal Nikkor-N(C) 28 f/2? I once had the newer 28 f/2 AI and it was really bad wide open I ended up returning it. How does the old version fare against the AI/S version? Is it any better or just the same?
P.S.
I do have the amazing Nikon 28mm 2.8 AIS, and this little lens absolutely beat the Nikkor 28 f/2 AI that I had. Perhaps it was a bad copy.

I have the NC version and I'm pretty happy with it. It's often in my bag (I like the 28mm length).
Reasonable sharp wide open. Some vignetting and distortion, nothing special.
Nice bokeh.
Bjørn Rørslett speaks highly of it here
I shot a few a couple of minutes ago (it's already getting dark here).
