You are kind as always Curtis, Very much enjoying my fifth 55mm 1.2, all my lenses need to be near mint. The logic of owning five is like this:
1-Early first version with threaded aperture ring, series 97xxxx, no ai conversion kit.
2-second version series 184xxx-24xxxx
3- S.C series 25xxxx- 29xxxx (2)
4-true ai series 4xxxxx
only missing K version series 35xxxx-39xxx,Not sure I want it.
I would test these side by side but two are non-ai and I have no digital camera to use them on.
I would buy another S.C but I was spoiled by your paying $300 for a minty ai converted one and will not pay more!...Show more →
I offered the lens to you for exactly that reason... the $300 lens spoiled me... but I KNOW you have deeper pockets than I do, so thought I'd mention it. The K holds no intrigue for me either. In fact, having owned one AI, which I sold... I'll likely not go there either. But kit building REALLY is forever, so one can never be sure about anything when it comes to beautiful lenses like these.
Look what happens when you start posting market shots Leighton... you get a ton of love. Wonderful set of images. We've MISSED those shots. Really happy you picked up Jack's 55 f/2.8 AI-s that clearly was being neglected...
Come on Jack... mount one of those Nikkors on your new Df and entertain us...

Thank you everyone for your previous likes As I was leaving home early this morning to go to work, the sky was looking very ominous so I ran into the house to grab my camera to take a few quick shots. I still had my 85AIS f/1.4 mounted on my Df. I only had a minute to take these, so unfortunately they were taken handheld mostly at 1/8 second so please forgive the motion blur... but I think I was still able to capture the mood of the heavens about to open up.

One of my bucket list shots... Undulatis Asperatus clouds. Rolling ocean wave clouds. Lucky!
Thanks Kevin! It's not often that I get to see clouds like this, so I'm glad that I was able to at least grab these quick shots I only wish that I would have had the time to set up my tripod and move to a different spot to better compose them.
Watching these clouds surely gave an erie feeling... almost like judgement day was coming!
These lenses are actually bargain night time lenses, at 1.2 they are sharp and the only defect is some small butterflies on points of light at the edge of the frame, hardly noticeable in most cases. At 2.0 they perform great period.
A Shaka at 1.2. With the D3, Lights are well rendered.

Anyone want those Free Empty Boxes with matching bubble case inside in the background, just pay the shipping and those're yours Right now, I can find only 3 boxes for 35/2, 55/1.2 and 105/2.5
Boxes still available? I would love to give the 3 of them a new home, and I have 2 of 3 lense sto go with them and looking for a nice copy of the 3rd

Nice set Rafael lens behind the F3 looks like a rare and expensive 80-200/2.8 ED ais if I am not mistaken. Nice photos as always
You are not mistaken. Now there is a lens that would convince me to keep my D3, but alas, without 80-200 f2,8 ED Ai-S I'm really going to make the switch to Fuji camera, but do not intend switch to Fuji lenses.
