You're really making that sweet lens sing Rafael... the 55 f/1.2 S.C. is an amazing lens, though one can enjoy the same capabilities with the later K and AI versions... you just lose the scalloped metal focusing ring. I wonder if you want ANOTHER copy Rafael... I just checked and there is a mint condition S.C. pre-AI available at the moment on E-Bay... Inquiring minds want to know...
Wonderful to see Friday night photos from you Rafael. Wish I were around the corner so I could join you. LOVE these cars.
You are kind as always Curtis, Very much enjoying my fifth 55mm 1.2, all my lenses need to be near mint. The logic of owning five is like this:
1-Early first version with threaded aperture ring, series 97xxxx, no ai conversion kit.
2-second version series 184xxx-24xxxx
3- S.C series 25xxxx- 29xxxx (2)
4-true ai series 4xxxxx
only missing K version series 35xxxx-39xxx,Not sure I want it.
I would test these side by side but two are non-ai and I have no digital camera to use them on.
I would buy another S.C but I was spoiled by your paying $300 for a minty ai converted one and will not pay more!

Looks like you'll be an excellent member of this thread. Plenty of more Nikkors for you to buy to complete your collection
Welcome!
john
Thanks John
I am limiting myself within AI/AIS version, for the long end I think I should add a 300/4.5 ED AIS or 300/2.8 ED IF AIS, a Medical-Nikkor 120/4 and 200/2 AIS if I can find a mint copy with reasonable price. That's it since I can't handle any heavy lens anymore due to age! plus it's difficult to find a big lens in original condition

Got my 50-135 from Steward.
Just a couple of weeks waiting.
Next one on the list is the new AF-S 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED Fisheye, but I have to sell a couple of lenses first;
Sigma 8/3.5 shaved Nikon 10.5 and chipped Nikon 16/2.8 AI-s. All mint of course.
Yeah, That's the one
Anyone want those Free Empty Boxes with matching bubble case inside in the background, just pay the shipping and those're yours Right now, I can find only 3 boxes for 35/2, 55/1.2 and 105/2.5
One more BIF with the 600mm f5.6 AIS+TC-14b. Sorry for the limited variety. I forgot to bring
the charger for my Df so I survived one charge on one battery for my entire vacation.
I have to say that with these kind of shots, I wish for the D810 so I can crop it a little more - not this picture but I have some other shots that would benefit from the high pixel.

Thank you everyone for your previous likes As I was leaving home early this morning to go to work, the sky was looking very ominous so I ran into the house to grab my camera to take a few quick shots. I still had my 85AIS f/1.4 mounted on my Df. I only had a minute to take these, so unfortunately they were taken handheld mostly at 1/8 second so please forgive the motion blur... but I think I was still able to capture the mood of the heavens about to open up.

Oh ya. It started with hail, and then torrential rains with flash flooding. Tonight again, we had more storms. Quite a spectacular lightning show too. I don't mind the thunderstorms as long as people do not get hurt or damage to their property.
