Feels like old times with this thread steaming along and newcomers arriving with their first manual focus lens purchase. Welcome Kris. We even have some photos taken with Nikki which definitely brings back memories. For anyone curious about the Great Nikon Lens Adventure, simply click on the WWW at the bottom of my posts. Alas the only person who can take photos with Nikki at the present moment is Leighton who received the lens as a gift from our friend Ben in Sydney.
Yes, Ben was very gracious in gifting me Nikki. FYI, Ben lives in Rome now and has been in lockdown for weeks. I'm sure this is killing him considering how many images he took of street life. You may want to shoot him a PM.
Loved the first image in your set of flowers a page ago.

Love the second one Ray. I seem to be partial to photos that show something of the environment inside...
Nice to see the lawn newly cut...
Curtis,
How about another inside/outside image.
Note the sunshade. April in the UK Not a common event. We have just experienced the warmest April on record.
The month long beautiful weather has taken the edge of the fact my wife and I should have, as I write this, been mid-way across the Atlantic on our way to Tampa.
Clearly Colin, you didn't need to travel to Tampa, Florida, to enjoy some good weather... If global warming is real some of the consequences might be welcome for those in Great Britain. Of course, those of us in California aren't too happy about it all given the fires and drought we know is part of our experience.
Here's a photo I took from a hillside in San Anselmo where I was walking. Hills in the foreground are all part of my home town. Here you're looking toward San Rafael, then across San Francisco Bay to what are called East Bay Hills and in the distance Mount Diablo, which is about forty miles away as the crow flies.
A homeowner was standing in her front yard talking on a cellphone as I approached her rose bush. She smiled as I took this and reported to her friend what was happening. We really are all in this together...

Stay safe my friend as you're out and about.
Thanks Leighton. Although Italy experienced the first horrific outbreak of Covid-19, I imagine Ben is happier being in Italy than in Australia which has been on fire for months. I expect you're following him on Flickr. I've never made the transition from Flickr serving merely as a host for photos to using it to converse with other photographers. But Ben is off in a very different adventure I imagine, so we'll not see his work here... which is a pity. I really enjoy his street photography and the banter between him and Philippe was a delight...
The flower photo you mention has made its way to my desktop. I love it as well.
Safe and well... our mantra for the time being. Back at you...
Nice setting to play with the NOCT George. Yes, being in nature clears the mind and settles the soul. Unfortunately, we're being discouraged from visiting these areas with their narrow trails and potential crowds. But it is refreshing to see these photos. Thanks.

This trail self made and being used only by neighbors. So no issues with distancing here
Hopefully I can be clearer in the head Friday. Too busy with work until then. Good to see the thread marching along. I noticed Curtis seems to be glued to it, which is a good thing.
