Tried to see how is it opening wide in direct sunlight. You can see it soft and airy effect like. Sorry my English is not enough to describe it. _D8E9898in by blurrist lump, on Flickr
It's hour 2697 or something like that of the quarantine. Our State is about to go t phase ONE this week and all I can say it's about time. Here in Central Florida we've not had the impact of some other parts of the world and this country. Went to the clinic yesterday for blood work and waited on line. They've furloughed half their staff.
George I made you an offer to pitch your tent in my back yard so I thought I'd take a picture of the nearest neighbor. Probably only 8 foot long and seems to be content to relax on the ponds aerator. When the aerator's timer kicks on this guy is OUT of there in under a second.
So to taunt Curtis further these are shot with the same lens, the 35-200. The Gator at 200mm the flowers at the macro setting. It was a breezy day so catching the flowers when they were sorta still was a challenge Never shot flowers that much and finding out it is a lot of work.

Thanks for the offer and regarding the nearest neighbor... If my son comes, he will try to put a tracker on it

That would be fun, there are loads people tracking gators in Florida! Spring is gator mating season and the time of year when you really need to keep your eye on gators.
Funny Dean... I saw a post from Peter B on the thread you started years ago for MFNG shooters playing with AF lenses and wondered what was up with you... and YOU ARRIVE on the thread! Love it.
I imagine with the world of business practically shutting down, it likely put a pause on your business... sad, no doubt, but then it gave you a bit of time to put a few of those lenses to work. I'm really happy you didn't thin the herd. For those who weren't around when you were posting regularly, it is important to note that Dean had very high standards when it came to kit building. You definitely inspired me to spend a few extra dollars to buy lenses in as close to pristine condition as possible.
Hope you hang out with us a bit and to the extent possible share a few photos from Hong Kong. I imagine physical distancing is not easy in a place so crowded. And, of course, I'm reading about the heavy handedness of the Chinese during this pandemic. Hong Kong seems to be facing some dangerous times politically. Stay safe and be well Dean.
Reagan and Ken... Is the blood work an antibody test? Hope you're both well.
No doubt folks are feeling a bit of cabin fever after weeks of physical distancing. Yesterday I delivered food to Sue's home and noted the increasing number of cars on the road. My guess is that regardless of what politicians say, individuals will be making their own decisions. I expect that will mean those who feel most vulnerable will continue to shelter in place and not visit bars and restaurants, movie theaters, shopping malls. We have much yet to know about this disease. Sweden is counting on the benefits of staying open for business. I hope it works out for them. We'll know more with additional testing. In Marin we've had 3,394 people tested, 226 diagnosed with Covid-19, 12 people dead, seven men and five women and 171 who tested positive for Covid-19 who have had no symptoms for two weeks.

Just a monthly test to check my white blood cell count
Part of the Immune system disease that I will have forever
no cure but I can see again now so all is good
