Colin, I was dismayed to hear about your illness, but I’m so glad you’re getting better. A friend of mine here is recuperating from COVID too, and it’s been a difficult process even though he’s only 41 years old. I’m perplexed how some people are taking such a cavalier attitude. Hoping you have a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.
The death of a close friend of 41 years from a broken neck on New Year's Day not so long after my partner's death really left me in a funk. I haven’t felt much photographic motivation for some time now; and when I have picked up a camera, I didn’t feel the results were worth sharing.
Then I had a conversation with our Tempter-in-Chief, Curtis this week. He didn’t manage to lead me into temptation, but he did verbally kick my butt to get out and make some images. Among other things, we’d been discussing the 105/4 Micro, a simple design based on the 1903 Voigtländer Dynar. He challenged me to put it on the Df and go shoot, even if only in my yard. Several hail storms recently left flowers looking tattered, so I won’t attempt to compete with the outstanding contributions from several members here lately. This variegated Lysimachia punctata was just coming up. The new shoots are pink when they first poke through the ground, but later they lose the rosy color.

Ken,
So sorry to hear about your recent troubles but it is great to see you using the camera again.
I agree that the cavalier attitude by some to this virus is quite alarming.
I accept that stay-in-place and stay-at-home is a challenge but that is a much softer option compared to catching something that could debilitate you for many weeks and at worst could kill you.

Hello friends. Hope all is well with you all. Staying indoors and safe. I haven’t clicked anything new in a while. Wanted to pop by and say Hi., social distancing in real world but finally getting time to get back with this group.
We don't have a lockdown in the Netherlands, but we're asked to stay inside and if we're out keep distance. So we went for a walk through the bulb fields very early this morning (12km). We only saw a few bikers/wanderers and some cars. But as the weather is beautiful and the flowers are in bloom we had a terrific walk.
I had only the Leighton lens with me.
This one will be probably on the wall somewhere in- or outside the house. So PP suggestions are always welcome.
Somehow, I thought the thread had stalled. I was stuck in Page 1010. Now I have had so much to read. The archive photos are really nice.
Colin, I am glad you are on the mend. It sounds like a very scary experience, one I suspect will not be the last one we read. Keep going and here's hoping the worst is over for you and your family.
Ken from Portland, good to have you back too. You are forever too hard on your pictures. Those that make the grade for posting here are always a treat.
Curtis, thank you for the explanation of the different 105mm. You may not know, I bought the original P(narrow scallop) in your picture in March after having bought a 135mm f/3.5 Q on a whim late last year. I enjoyed it so much that when the P showed up, I didn't hesitate to buy it. It's in great condition but I think I still suck at lens pictures.
Works well on D5500 but is natural on a silver Df. These taken this morning.
So, I never got to shoot the big moon. Today is the first clear weather day since I took the last picture on Sunday.

That is a BEAUTIFUL shot, Ken, and a really interesting flower!
Sorry for the loss of your longtime friend.

Yes. Still have them and was hoping to ride more as weather warmed up. I have my dual sport KLR 650 and my sports tourer still with me.
Hope there will be more riding opportunities after this plateau.
