Understanding your cancelled holiday to Long Boat Key is three weeks away these shots may make your day a little brighter. Hope so!
PS: Sort of funny that its page 10-13 … A radio code for Police emergency in the US.
I was really looking forward to kicking back on LBK for 10 days. It would be a perfect way to recuperate!
I need to try to recover my cancelled flight costs. Airlines don't want to give back cash - they'd rather give you a voucher to be used in the next 12 months. Given the mess the world is in I'd prefer to have the cash right now so I can have more control over future vacation choices.
Perhaps third time will be lucky! We have two trips pre-planned and pre-paid for May. The company we deal with is very reluctant to reimburse for the cancellations and are offering credit for future dates. That may not work for us since we are pre-booked to a year from now and they don’t seem to care. I understand that everyone in this pandemic needs to absorb a little loss, little grief and a little pain and I’m willing to put up with my share. That also means I can take future business elsewhere.

I have a lot of pages to catch up on due to the fact that I got hit with an illness that started ~3 weeks ago.
My Doctor said it was Covid-19 but given I was not admitted to hospital I have not been formally tested. The testing strategy/capacity in the UK is a joke. Ideally I'd like to have an anti-body test but.......
I had all of the usual symptoms. I felt rough one day and then it hit hard, really hard. I shut the lid on my company laptop at 6pm, went to bed and woke up 22 hours later. That was the first of 10 days in bed, unable to function, living in some kind of fevered, zombie state where even going to the bathroom was a physical challenge. Really weird. Worst 2 weeks I can ever remember. There were a couple of times I just wanted it all to end. Hard to explain. Dropped my weight from 76kg to 71kg in the process.
The good news is that I am beginning to feel human again and went back to work this week(from home of course). Fatigue is still an issue so I have to pace myself. Climbing the stairs in my house leaves me breathless. I ventured outside into the sunshine yesterday and even bending down and holding a position to take this 55/2.8 macro left me gasping for air.
Hopefully I will have the enthusiasm to use the camera again over this holiday weekend.

Quite a ride Colin. Seems like you got pretty ill. I've been home from job for 4 weeks now, but I've not been anyway near what you describe. I've had more mild but very persistent symptoms, nose running, low fever, worst have been pain in my bronchus with some trouble breathing. But it has not been too bad. Had to go to the doctor even though, no test for me either. I would also like to test if I have anti bodies... But tests are reserved for hospital workers and for the most sick ones.
Went on a pretty long fishing trip today, first real trip in weeks... It worked out pretty good, I'm sittning in my sofa having a nice rhum at the moment. Except for a running nose I think I'm back Glad to hear you are recovering, keep the shots coming in and take care.
Nikon launched it in 1960, thinking the masses would go for the somewhat cheaper lens with smaller aperture. It just didn't take off and production ended in 1961. Less than 6K produced, a small fraction for Nikon RF.

My friend had a vacation planned to Italy and Delta wanted to give him credit for the future
He declined and after a couple calls back and forth with Delta
He filed a complaint with Visa and got his money back
My wife and I discovered this headstone while on our daily "social distancing walk" in the Missoula City Cemetary. I was amazed at what I found when I got home and goggled "Hank"! Since most of you currently have "some time on your hands" I heartily recommend you google him too. Very interesting read!!!
Henry "Hank" Butler Beaman (1848-1897)
Sheriff of Deadwood, South Dakota, friends with Calamity Jane and was represented in the HBO miniseries “Deadwood”. He was a landowner and fireman who invented the fire towers much like the one used by the Forest Service today.

SWEET find! Seth Bullock from Deadwood? This post would now act as a reminder to do third rewatch of the series. Thanks!
Hello friends. Hope all is well with you all. Staying indoors and safe. I haven’t clicked anything new in a while. Wanted to pop by and say Hi., social distancing in real world but finally getting time to get back with this group.
