I'm going to enjoy this one thoroughly, its opposite of the zeiss 50 I own. Thanks again to Jim Buchanan for doing the whole conversion, cleaned, and fixed my helicoid for a reasonable price and extremely fast turn around.
i have -11, but wear contact lenses. that is perfect
EG-S works fine.
if you have an AF-confirm chip, note: in order to focus precisely you need always to focus from one site, means, you start from larger focusses until it beeps or from smaller (larger is better in my case).

okay so how do you guys focus at f/1.2?
A900 viewfinder, no focus assist. Only in the dark can't I focus accurately, but I don't use this lens in the dark...
crazeazn, glad you're getting the hang of it, manual focusing @ 1.2 really is a different experience than @ 1.4, I end up having to move the focus point over the subject a few times to be sure I'm where I want to be.
Well I threw caution to the wind, not really, but I decide to finally find out what part of my 58/1.2 was causing my mirror to hang on my 1DIII, I has filed a bit of the retainer ring earlier this year but gave up when I got near the spanner slot,
turns out I just needed to go a wee bit further, no issues now.
It still causes a mirror hang on a 5D, but I can live with that because I don't own one. pics are coming.
Well I was hoping to get one from eBay tonight, but it just sold for £370 unconverted, one of the later ones, 276*** http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350484978897?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_779wt_907
I hope this is not a sign of things to come, after spending £80 on a chipped adapter from Jim, I was hoping to only have to spend another £250-300 for the lens...
Don't give up, they are out there.
If you check the B&S board, they do pop up from time to time, I know one seller that has sold 4 in the last 2 years, all sold in minutes, my copy didn't make it that far, I got first dibs, thanks man, love my Rokk.
