2nd photo looks like a home depot!
ikea actually. had to buy new cheap furniture. despite adding an extra bedroom, moving to san francisco from chicago was a considerable downsize in living space.

And the 3rd is...... something...... cell tower? Mother-ship docking station?
What ever it is it's cool.
radio and tv tower. it is at nearly the highest point in SF and apparently the geographical center of the city (i looked it up because i live close by and was curious). usually you can only see the top of it from the rest of SF because a cloud sits on top of the hill 90% of the time. here is a shot of it on a more typical day as i was bored in traffic: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6065/6106393982_93d8a65668_b.jpg
I have a silly question for my fellow Rokkor 58 f/1.2 users. What kind of front cap are you using? I purchased mine in a dingy corner of a store so I have a horrid generic cap. I've been scouring KEH for a retro minolta cap (would be neat if it was era specific) but I dont know what will fit (55mm). I also have a b+w nano uv filter in front if that makes any difference. Which would fit better?
I have a metal hood (actually the one for the 58 f/1.4, but it works without vignetting) and a 62mm generic pinch cap fits perfectly on the metal hood, so that is what I use.

that first one is the one that came with my rokkor, but i never use it because it comes off so easy. all my lenses have generic metal screw on caps. i don't use uv filters and don't trust pinch caps to stay on either.
edit: my MC PG 50/1.4 came with a different pinch cap than the one you show in the second link. it says the minolta, but doesn't have the more modern minolta 'O' and font that the linked one has. that minolta logo change came after production of the 58/1.2 ended if that sort of thing matters to you.
Lightshow....fantastic shot! I find the 58 really really sharp at 2.8!! I love the composition into the sun, too. Looks like it(58) controls flare well!
