You may wonder about the title "Birds", there are plenty of birds in this shot you can barley see in the posted size here.
This is part of my current project to visit and photograph the wine regions close to my hometown (Heidelberg) during the harvest season.
It is taken in the region of Rheinhessen just close to the west of my birthplace, Worms. The region is called "Wonnegau" and we have some prime wines here.
The harvest just began, the grapes are very ripe and lots of birds most of them Starlings try to eat them, thats why you can every minute here shots in the air!

Gary -third shot with the reflection in the water and the rocks just below the surface is an awesome capture.
uhoh7 - nice image wrong side for heart attack. but maybe an appendicitis. . Nice curves in the river shots.
Mitch - the black and white conversion has an interesting facial expression with the girl in focus and the one in the background.
Canerino - I like the first shot on the motorcycle.
Zhangyue - I like the coloration of the shots. The blues are very nice as ping stated film like.
Ping - Beautiful fog shots. The 1st one I feel I am there watching it.
Gilgabo - nice placement I can see the depth with the way you framed it.
Werner - I like the shades of the leaves in the foreground and the patchwork quilt of the landscape in the fields behind, Good shot.
Gary - interesting contrast from the 2nd shot with commissioned artwork vs the randomness of graffiti artwork(if that is a person's view of graffiti). Nice set.

Finally I get smart and shoot three, moving forward and back a touch, to account for mistake, focus shift, or miscalibration. Zm35 seems quite crisp at f/2 when I pick the sharp one

This whole area burned badly and has been closed for most of the summer, now open only to foot travel. We have many trails there.

Took me 3 hours with photos. Saw three people. Trail in great shape, but would be dusty behind someone This loop had it's trails rebuilt and rerouted in many places this spring, after mega-fire last fall. Now it is the ultimate on a mtn bike. Smooth direct--but gradual-- uphill, very very long and interesting downhill.

I had the chance to shoot a few frames at a wedding from my buddy's MM. You are right Alan, it is quite the machine!
I'm thinking once the M-P becomes more available then the prices of used M 240s will probably ease up a bit.

I am planning on completely switching over to Leica M in the next few years even for my commercial work. It will be an expensive switch but I think well worth it. Still hoping Leica comes out with an M-E type camera )just the basics) with the new sensor. If not like you maybe a used M 240 and an M9 for backup. Or two M 240s? If next year goes as well as this year has maybe sooner than I'm planning on. Doubt I'll get much for my Canon gear though the 200 2L should fetch a good price.

So, who's getting the new M-60? I was expecting the new 28Lux launch but no news yet? ZM 35 1.4 seems like a must have lens?
I'm down to one M240 body. Still have my S2 but sold the Monochrom due to lack of use. There might be better or more advanced cameras out there today, but they don't tug at my heart like a Leica
