Joakim very nice I will take the big one, it fits me better

ocean2059 nice I will take the ones taken w/the M9

David that sec on with the deep shadow contrast is excellent

asiafish nice series, the whole time I was thinking M9

burningheart very nice series of your natural B and W's

Edwards awesome series, excellent exposures as always!

Congrats Allen!

uhoh awesome captures, must be nice nice transitioning from snow to downhill runs! When I was racing downhill all we had was 2" of travel front forks and caliper brakes! Times have changed, no full face helmets here? Seems more free ride DH?

M240 and 35 Biogon ( I don't know why every time I type this lens name, it reminds me of the famous insecticide )

Commenting on the last 2 pages. Sorry for not commenting on earlier posts but never enough time

Joakim, very good catch with the big caterpillar and baby Nice bicycle shot too!

Ocean, very sharp and detailed images. Somehow I still prefer the color from the M9

David, that's a handsome M3 you got there, congrats! Lovely Provia 100F colors.

Asiafish, the XV is surely a winner despite the slowish lens. Nice compositions!

Burningheart, love those 90 AA shots. Congrats!

Allen, fantastic moments and congrats for your exhibition!

Charlie, very lively color and well seen shots as usual.

Phil, love both latest shots, the lady decorating the cake and the mother/son portrait.

Salvador, congrats on the publication of your image!

Philip, exquisite photo!

Edward - If rumours are any indication of what Leica has planned.. We'll have a wifi Monochrom w/CMOS LV abilities, and a CCD M9 internals in a non-LV M240 body (with updated RF mechanism).
Who knows though right? Unless someone here actually does have the inside scoop, then please tell me, I have three M240 bodies and I need to know what Leica has planned so I can prepare with minimal losses to myself

I had a question about the new and old 90 Macro. So in fully closed position the lens won't work. In fully extended position the lens will work like a normal 90mm (and the closest focusing is like .8 or .9 or?) then, you have to add an adapter or spacer, but it'll work down to .5? and it'll do so with the RF mechanism?

I'm wondering what the easiest way to get a semi macro (think details shot, something closer then a 75mm at .7m) without adapters and anything messy, while still using the RF mechanism. I'm guessing there's no option for this right? As the new 90macro just acts like a regular lens without the adapter?

So second best option EVF and novoflex extension tubes?

Adam, I feel for you. Three M240 is too many. But i would not be interested in the Monochrom body myself, and definitely there are a couple more years before a new M model would be released. So no worries at the moment.

I think the best option for macro is extension tubes and EVF, but the Novoflex tubes are all 10mm, which is much more than you want. I think about 5mm would be perfect, if you can find one that is.

That rumor turned out to be the 100 year anniversary model.

Some shots with the ZM 25 Biogon. I got the purple shading from the right side only on many shots, so I am thinking not to use this lens for medium/long range shooting, or maybe try some of the Leica lens corrections.

Yeah, sometimes I take to free-lensing(?) I think that's what the kiddies call it these days. Where you take your lens off camera while it's focused at .7m and you shoot with it several CM from the mount. Works, but you get some kinda awesome flare from it. So can only be used in certain situations (use to do it all the time with my old NEX3). A 5mm tube might work, Novoflex is 10mm only? I do think that might be a tad much, maybe not though, anyway no RF that way

As for the 3x M240.. Yeah, I'm only aiming to keep two. I have the one extra in the meantime while I figure out what I'd like to do about the LCD issues and other problems. Also trying to decide if I want to continue to pursue Leica professionally.. And if so, then I might end up having the keep all three cameras. Which is fine, as I have two 1Dx cameras and two 5D3 and a 6D all just sitting around waiting to be used or sold which would offset the cost of the additional Leica by far (or assuming I decide to ditch the Leica idea, I have Canon on hold [got rid of the Sony Alpha kit, couldn't get use to EVF/smartphone-camera mentality of Sony. Even though I see the benefits of it in the future]). Although to be honest, I like Ron's idea of using an M and 1Dx, but I just can't seem to make the two cameras jive together.. As in, IQ just doesn't seem to be consistent unless I shoot with two of the same cameras.. And even then with two Leica cameras, I find that the 35FLE and 75APO (which I would mainly use professionally) don't jive to well rendering wise.

Anyway, might be out of luck on the macro front. Or extension tubes and EVF may be the way to go, the odd time I need macro abilities.

BTW Edward, when are you getting back from your trip?

Don't think so.. The M240 doesn't have wifi and wasn't ever registered with the korean gov. before. So why have to register a special edition (that also doesn't have wifi)?
