Changed my way of shooting the M in full M mode, and pleasantly surprised how good it worked out, this M needs to be treated like a queen or it will turn on you.
Phil
M w/90 cron pull out hood, VF2, Thanks Doug!
Not too happy with jpg conversion w/smugmug, looks way better in Raw. Anyone have any ideas on better exports to web posted images?

Translation?
Yeah, I was thinking about that 90 today Phil. Stupid stupid stupid.... nice image.
I try not to shoot wide open as much as before, that was usually my trademark style in all my photography, I'm slowly weening away from that habit, although I still prefer WO , 5.6 makes me nervous
I was a 'Aperture priority' shooter most of the time using exposure compensation and auto iso, even though I knew how to work Manual mode. I'm forcing myself to use M mode all the time exposure, SS, ISO, etc….definitely this has caused me to slow way down then what I am use to
I've increased my shutter speed at the cost of higher ISO, but the M handles high ISO beautifully as you know already. I come from the Canon 40D camp when anything over 1200 looked like crap, old habits are hard to break I guess
Love black and white too and I'm a strong believer that MM is not a black and white camera, it produces it's own image! Love the tone your images speaks!
No I did not use ND. All shots was created by a summicron 35 at f2 with a clear filter.
Great catch though! The first one with a couple walking by, at f2 the shutter speed was pushed to 1/4000, had a quick duck to avoid some direct sunlight to get the shot =)
I once bought a camera from someone here, and when I opened the box it reeked of tobacco smoke! The camera had to be aired out for a whole week and it still smelled like cigs, I assumed he had a stogie in his mouth while he was shooting! Gross, I had to replace the cloth strap!
The sensor had yellow tar stains and made my shots look like I used a warming filter! (joke)
I have bought 'smoked' gear before too, it's no pleasure to get that's for sure. Especially soft goods, yuck, forget it.
But lenses even absorb the odors. I got a 28mm 1.4d nikkor lens a while ago that had been in a smoker's hands. I wiped it down and aired it out, trying to get it clean.
Here's a tree shot I did today out back. Did a little miore effect on it. I think it's called...
liyuanayu, I agree that there is a richness to the MM files, that really attracts me. I know you can get close with M, or M9 if you work the files. But that cleanness of the files combined with the richness of "color", is what attracted me to the MM. I may get tired of it at some point, but so far, I can't see that happening.
Phil that last flower shot is oh my gosh. oh my gosh.
