Edwin - no idea on how to help. I would remove the battery and card (as you mentioned) and hopefully that will help.
Thank you to all the thread posters on here, for the excellent photos, the discussion and the humour throughout 2013.
I look forward to more in 2014 and resolve to be more active personally, something that often daunts due to the excellence of the images. I'm currently enjoying using my M8 in 14bit RAW mode.
i guess i've been lucky with both my M9 and M (knock on wood!) ... i only had a handful of images with banding on the M9 and no major problems whatsoever. and with the M no lockups or any problems since i bought it. fwiw i only use Lexar Gold cards. i never had problems with Lexar Golds. I've had problems with everything else including Sandisks and Transcends.

hey Kurt i regularly visit your site and i kinda miss the Philippines whenever i see your great photos. I grew up in Marikina City and later in Quezon City before i moved here...I haven't gone back since 2004...your photos makes me want to go back there.
Had my daughter and her best buddy Kiwi over today... I have a few photos of them, but I like this BW. MM I had some trouble nailing focus today on the MM, but the photo is still nice.
Dale, I have to revise the site as it's too long and needs a lot of editorial discipline … it's more stream of conscious than anything else … with the good and bad that goes without tight editing. I am falling behind on adding newer images. Here are a few with the MM in the meanwhile:
