Adrian, Doug, and Nico nice work! love the color tones and rendering in the petting zoo!
Edward hopefully they can take care of your M9, I hope this is a isolated problem, really makes me upset if this is a global issue on how they treat customers. Starting to give me doubts now
Nice shots everyone! Too bad I can't contribute at the moment
I don't think I want to aggravate the situation at the moment. I just want them to fix the camera ASAP, and I will see later on if I would like to raise this issue with Dr. Kaufmann. I don't care if I have to pay for a body cap, even if it's overpriced, it's a trivial issue. I hope it's an isolated incident as it is unlike anything I have heard about Leica service. Now I know that should I ever need to service my camera again, I will have to ship it on my own to Solms without going through the local channels.
Nicholas - really like your set. I agree that the ZM25 is a great match with the M240. Your PP looks nicely balanced…
Edward - stick with it, hopefully you will get it back soon and move past all of this crap.
Adrian - nice zoo pics. The retro treatement looks good and the last pic looks like something out of the 60's.
Phil - no more Noct shots PLEASE!
surely you don't pet those big a$$ lizards do you Adrian? . Those aren't monitor lizards are they? I know you don't get near those things, they are BAD. But I don't know a monitor from any other big lizard. I really don't.
Here's one with the 21SEM. I have a few more I need to post and I'll work on them after the holidays. I also have a Novoflex adapter now so I can post some comparison tests between the 21sem and 21ZF if anyone is still interested in those. Merry Christmas everyone!
I learned something today. the actuations on the new M, cannot be determined except for the count that is changeable inside the camera software. The hexadecimal value that was able to be translated to decimal on the M9 is no longer a valid value to translate. Anyway, interesting and not a good thing for the used M market. you will never know what you get in a used camera, unless you know and trust the seller. Am I right?
O.T. : My M240 is about 2 months old and have not shot more than 500 clicks on it since i had an eye operation when i received my unit. I've experienced a few lock ups and was resolved by restarting the camera. I've also experinced the magenta thing when you zoom in on a photo when reviewing a shot. And tonight, Christmas eve here in the Philippines, the camera had frozen again and the bad news is, it would not shoot anymore even after restart. I replaced the sd card and still a no go. During restart the red light seems to indicate that its reading the card while starting up, but it wont shoot. I have the 2.0.0.12 firmware installed. I will remove the sd card and the battery for the whole night. I hope that tomorrow it will miraculously turn on. I would appreciate if someone can give me a heads up on what to do
Edwin I've experienced all those things on my camera too and many of the members in LUF suggested its caused by a new battery. After a good amount of recharges it should not have that problem anymore. I have never heard of the camera locking up after a hard restart so if it still doesn't work tomorrow you should contact Leica for a replacement. Best of luck!
