I had a good buddies M9 when I went to the Keys. He let me barrow it. I got the 35 lux in before my MM. I really liked the M9 a lot. In fact I am still tossing around the idea of picking one up or maybe grabbing an M-E. The M-E has the same sensor as the M9 correct?
I am anxious to see what the new M will look like and if they will eventually make an M-E with the CMOS sensor.

Yep, the M-E is essentially identical to the M9, but without the frame selection lever, without the USB port, and in a different finish/color.

Very nice Edward. The saturation pp and colors in the skies reminds me of slide film.
Thank you very much Joe. I do find the M9 colors to be slide film-like. I remember having read somewhere that Leica specifically asked Kodak to emulate the Kodachrome look for the CCD.
In fact I never touch the saturation slider except to desaturate for b&w. This shot has received my usual PP: WB and exposure correction, some contrast added (+50 in this case for extra drama )
Thanks Joakim. Looks like its getting very cold in Sweden? Very nice atmospheric shot. Was the flare from the filter?
Edward, the color rendering on many of your M9 shots seem to look more saturated and "filmatic" than mine. Really like the processing that you do for the M9 but maybe its also got to do with the Zeiss contrast/look of your lenses.
Here's one more for the day. I'm somewhat struggling with the M setup for pictures of newborn and tend to prefer other setup or even a P&S. The 3ft min focusing makes it challenging for smaller close up pictures. I can't wait for the Type 240 and maybe try a 60 Macro-R or other manual focus Nikon lenses with an adapter. Would be interesting.
At this point the only processing I'm doing to the MM files is adjusting the histogram so that both deep black and bright white are included. Seems to work pretty well without taking any time at all.
Thanks Joe, there wasn't any filter on the lens. I understand that the MFD of the Leica M can be frustrating with such a small guy like that, a 90 mm should work but it gets kind of limiting I guess with only on focal length and it's not that versatile either.
I'm enjoying the M-Monochrome photos from you guys and while it would be cool to have one I'm saving up for the M. I got a chance to play with one briefly some time ago and if Leica can retain or even improve the image quality from the M9 then with the EVF and live-view it would mean that Leica took over as my main system instead of Canon.
Edward, thank you Very nice shot with the ZM 25 Biogon.
Ryan, love the design of shot #2! The last set are excellent!!
Joe, congratulations again! Wonderful shots of your son Superb set of shots from your summer series!!
Dale, wonderful portrait shot
Joakim, really like the character of your shot with the flare
Shots from last night of my partner by Burleigh beach with Surfers in the background with M-M, 50 Lux Asph, at 10,000 ISO @ f/1.4 1/25s. There was no lighting at all
Dale, nice cute shot!
Ryankarr, those Mono shots look very smooth. Nice.
Charles, must have been really dark there with ISO10,000! Excellent! BTW did you order the RX1?

Yes, I have to use 50mm most of the time, 35FL is impossible and 90 gives too much compression on these delicate babies. 50mm seems to be my preferred FL for babies.
