Edward, the color rendering on many of your M9 shots seem to look more saturated and "filmatic" than mine. Really like the processing that you do for the M9 but maybe its also got to do with the Zeiss contrast/look of your lenses.
Thank you Joe! I think it's the Zeiss lenses doing their magic
Charles, nice shots on the beach! ISO 10,000 is surprisingly usable.
Andrew, love the last one especially.
Same wiht you Dale, love the ears on the towel!
Thanks for the comments guys, I'm in love with the MM. My other kit is Nikon FX, so it feels good to be able to go high ISO again without worry.
I can really recommend the ZM 18, Joakim. Colors, micro contrast, 3D, sharpness down to the last pixel in the corners. Like all UWA it has strong vignetting and there is color shift when used at infinity. The 24/2.8 asph profile removes the vignetting and color shift entirely but I always shoot with lens profiles off. Cornerfix works very well to remove the Italian flag when really needed.
Joe, Joakim, Edward and Ryan thank you
Joe, I have not ordered the RX-1
Joakim, very nice tones in a shot where are freezing your ears off
Edward, wonderful perspective and imagination with your shot of the temple!
Andrew, superb set of Beijing with the 50 Nocti f/1.0! The 50 Nocti f1.0 on the M9 is my favourite, yet the 50 Lux Asph on the M-M
Ryan, wonderful evening shot!
Jabberwockt, nice set!
Here are a few touristy shots from Millennium Park in Chicago from a couple weeks ago... No, not feeling MM envy, rather, it was a very dull, gray day and B&W better suited the images, IMO.
Lots of great contributions to the thread lately! Too many to comment on, but Joe, love that set from the summer! So much going on in many of those. Ed, definitely get a 'slide film' vibe from those recent ZM18 and 25 outdoor images. Maybe it is the Zeiss character coming through... though cranking up the contrast also helps.
Andrew and Charles - love the character from the f/1 Nocti!
Ryan, congrats on the 21 Lux!
