nice set Charles, i really like the nocti images ...will the 75lux give a similar look you think? im about to get one here locally
Thank you Edwin The 75 Lux, well calibrated will give a very similar Mandler look to the images. Though both the 50 Nocti f/1.0 and 75 Lux need to be very accurately calibrated for your style of shooting. In many ways the 75 Lux gives a more "elegant" look to portraits. This may well have to do with the perspective too
Thanks SO MUCH for the kind words. I don't think theres any secret, I just talk to folks and try and treat them with respect. I think that they sense that I'm not trying to exploit them and I do think they feel the joy I have of what I'm doing. When I'm trying to find the moment when repeating shapes words in the background or other visual elements are supporting the subject I clearly don't have the luxury to ask first. I carry myself like I belong there and if some stops and asks what I'm doing I full explain the work even show them images and if they want I will send them a print. I love it and I do see a difference in my work since getting the MM from using a DSLR. I don't think the camera and lens combo is as intimidating.
Love your work to. You have such a keen eye for design and balance. Embrace your vision. It ROCKS. There are many things that I see in your work I wish I could see and I admire it but alas its not the way I see when I work. Keep up the great work. Theres are some amazing images in this thread from some killer photographers and all different styles and types of work I find very inspiring. KEEP IT UP everyone.
Thank you very much Charles! Love your Bangkok shots, especially the lady at Wat Pathum. It's nice to see a different perspective from a familiar place
Airfrog, spoken like a true artist! Thank you for the compliments too
Great shots all! Apologies as I haven't had time to read all of the the past few pages, but there are some excellent posts from new and regular members alike. Warm welcome to those that just joined us on this thread.
