Michael, nice capture with the very high dynamic range
Paul, nice shot with the 24 Elmarit
hk_mtbr, nice series from the live band.
Luka, great set! Love the simple, abstract composition
Paul, like the composition on this one.
HK_mtbr, the whole set is pretty dynimic
Luka, #1 stand out with detail on water drop and graceful motion of bird. I like it a lot.
Ron, love the forest images, and thank you for sharing your post processing for that look! The Fort images are surprising for their uniformity, considering the lenses used. Paul, nice elmarit landscape, it sure is a sharp lens. zhangyue, I really like the last B&W of the man sitting, shows the 50 cron really well. The 21mm Biogon images show really well, I had read that that lens was a bit poor in the corners, but your images do not display this at all. Denoir The 90 summicron Asph is sharp sharp, wow. Charles Love the Noctilux shot! I broke down and bought the one that was available! The 24lux shot is super, L really like the processing/look!
Ron The dog and friends is a great story board, the dog is a real poser! Tobin To visit with such a photographer is rare treat, good for you! Adam don't sell the 28 'cron, its a super lens! zhangyue That 35 cron V1 is really nice, seems to live up to its hype! telluride Nice images of the Girl with the 90 summarit.
Paul Liking the last B&W image of the wedge shaped building. Interesting angle in HK, how long are you there for? Charles I like the separation on the last shot of the three riders, very nice! zhangyue Any CA out of that V1 summicron? Nice image of the tree. Joel I really like the last two of the bands, nice work! DenoirNumber three, concrete and the light stripe, is great!
I'm worried about the firmware affecting battery life.. It's already quite bad in this camera.
My batteries are new, but you never know how the firmware will handle itself.
Andrew, thank you for your comments Congrats on a truly magically lens
Michael, beautiful set of shots! I am loving the rendition with the 50 Cron The second shot of your daughter is like a painting.
Ron, I have downloaded and trying the new firmware updates in both my M9 and M9-P. Seems fine, with no issues so far
Adam, I have not had a problem with low battery, as I always keep a spare anyway
Andrew, great series of shots!!! My favourites are the B&W shots with the 50 Lux
Andrew, Charles, thank you for comment my photos. Appreciate.
Ron, I am waiting for your test results Just kidding. I have no interesting to update. Why fix anything doesn't broken.
Adam, I believe it doesn't affect battery consumption but only modify the way camera 'think' how much power left. I am not surprised for this change. I have some problems with my card occasionally at the begin of M9, especially when shoot continuously, later on, I have found that never shoot battery below 1/3 power left and I never have any problem. I have 4 battery. and only use 4G card, I usually change card with my Battery on one day trip if I shoot more than 100 pic. You have to be very brave to have 16G/32G with one battery on M9, I heard so many scary story
Andrew, 50cron is current glued on my M9 with 35cron V1. I love both of them, though I really can't say it has beautiful bokeh, it is quite busy with a lot of double edge, it can be seen in my daughter's portrait in this pg, which is cropped image. But still, I love it, it is a very good complement for 50lux ultra smooth Bokeh. and handling of rigid is in a word: amazing.
21 biogon is very sharp once slow to f5.6, I really don't mind its soft edge at 2.8, what for?
As for 35cron, that tree image might shot after f4, so I don't see any CA on the tree edge in color. I will report back once I see it at WO with more use.
Great set of images from Shanghai, I miss that city. Look forward more from you.
Every time I visit this forum which is allot lately I am blown away by the amazing work from everyone.
In an attempt to do more B&W and slow down from high speed AF cameras I have been chasing some shots that are near to my home.
Here are 3 from a trip to the North through Flagstaff onto the Navajo Reservation around Kayenta Arizona.
Micheal - Thank you for your work flow, and also taking the time to write such an informative reply. I really like the jellyfish shot as well. In your second set, #2 is a very good image, nice lighting, superb execution.
