Very nice images from everybody. Been away lately but did check the forum once in awhile.
OT:
My M9 just got back from Leica Singapore. I only intended at first to have a CLA before my warranty ends this October but i ended up buying an extended warranty till 2013. And i received an email from leica Singapore that they have the parts for a silver M9P available. I also ended up having my black M9 upgraded to M9P. Now my warranty is until 2014
Received my M9P yesterday and the M4 got fixed as well yesterday... So my photo kit has evolved from this:
To this:
I requested to reuse my black aperture dial on the new silver top plate just to be different Upgraded with the latest firmware. Total cost was US$1595 and they change almost everything including the sensor. Its practically a new camera with the same serial number
I really don't know. I was just surprised when i saw the invoice detailing the replaced parts and the works done. I emailed them to confirm and yes they did.

I assume this is how they handled your individual case. Good for you.
Doug, very nice B&W landscapes!
Michael, nice set I really like the seascape with the 35 Cron!
Edwin, congrats on the M9-P Worthy upgrade for everything that was included.
Model shoot in the streets of Brisbane this afternoon, with the 50 Nocti
I even prefer the color shot over the B/W shots although I like all of them. The color of the model and the color of the background do really complement one another.
Charles, really excellent set of portraits (my favorite is the last one in the series). Very nice beach set as well
I found an old roll of Velvia 50 and had it developed. I have no idea when I shot these but probably last fall. No idea what lenses were used (I would guess that #2, #3 & #7 are the 50 Lux ASPH, but it's just a guess). The only thing that I know for certain is that it was Velvia 50 and my M6
Anyone care to post a unprocessed M9 jpeg straight from the camera. I am condsidering the purchase of an M9 and I'm curious how the straight out the camera images look prior to processing. Currently shooting Nikon DSLR and I have things set up in camera so that my out of camera jpegs really don't need a lot of post. I'd like to get a sense of how the Leica jpegs look and I know from what I have read that people feel you need to shoot in RAW to get the most out of the files but I don't like to spend a lot of time processing my images. Thank you.
Jack
The above links are some recent before & after samples earlier in this thread.
I wouldn't worry about what you've heard. My experience with the M9 is that if I wasn't being anal about a given image, the preset I've made in LR and apply to all M9 files is usually good enough. The only other tweak that is necessary is WB because I just leave the camera on AWB. If you take the time to set what you think is the right WB at time of exposure, or follow the philosophy of some M9 shooters of leaving it on daylight for outdoor images and tungsten for indoors, then you could save more time in post.
Something else to keep in mind: contrary to all other "35mm" style digital cameras currently on the market, the M9 applies zero NR to files. There isn't even an in-camera option for NR. It's not really that it needs it at base ISO, but at 640+ the chroma noise becomes more noticeable and it will benefit from a touch of NR from your favorite RAW converter.
