Adam,
I had the Pre AA Summicron and found the focus ring to be stiff, the Summarit focus is nice and smooth but has allot of blueish green Achromatic fringe to it.
telluridestock - Hmmm.. Guess the APO fairs a lot better?
seekuh - lovely shot, and great subject separation.
Paul Yi - Nice shots, I gave up on the 35lux-asph as it wasn't my FL, but who knows what the future holds for me M wise, I'm pretty certain it's not a 2 lens kit anymore
Michael and Joakim, thanks
Tobin, excellent portrait!!
Ron, cool story about the dog
Michael, love the colours in the last shot.
hk_mtbr, neat action shots.
Hilmar, really nice shot. Making the 24 Lux sing!!
Paul, nice shots!
Recent shot at a temple in old Tainan city, with the 50 Nocti
Thanks Adam, I'll probably go with the B+W ND
Joel, nice action. I like the first one.
Doug, cool portrait.
Hilmar, very good portrait with the 24 Lux.
Paul, I enjoyed the first one with the lady and the cab.
Charles, nice framing and good touch to include that man so we understand how large that thing (?) is.
zhangyue, great colors in the last one
joakim - No problem, nice photos btw!
zhangyue - Your photos always have nice colors, come on, you can tell us your PS secret
Charles, awesome awesome shots!! Really good. I love horses btw!!
Joakim, Like the 2nd one, very beautiful color and composition.
Charles, Yes, the whole set are nice, I especially like the first one. perfect focus and background looks nice too. The horse at right of last one is so handsome
adam, I don't have secret. I think it's very basic for what I do compare to other advanced user like Luka and Ron here The seascape shot from last several pg have very good lighting and color themselves at first place, I don't even need to do anything special.
I don't have a fixed set of editing, they are case by case. since you asked, I can give you a example what I will do to 'save' a picture, it has quite high dynamic range of the scene and light quality is not that great anymore later that day at backlit.
35cron V1(exif show at f2.8, I believe is after f4)

For landscape, I can bump clarity, vibrancy and contrast and fill light a lot more without too much side effect. and capture it right at first place is very important the keep histogram well distributed from right to left. (usually, without blow highlight, over exposure is better than under for leica's sensor, not that important for Nikon D700 or D800E) the pic may not looks good at first place but I have much more freedom to PP with maximized pixels available.
I know this type of shot will benefit a lot from Multistage sharpening mentioned in this forum, however, it is a pain to me mange different file in my lightroom and flickr thus I leave out PS sharpening edit.
For portrait is much tricky to me, as I have to exposure correctly on skin, especially avoid under. I don't care if I blow up highlight or black in this case, since I never like the look of skin by boosting exposure/fill light after, though these are techniques frequently used in landscape shots.
I learned many thing from this forum and this thread, I learn a lot from Ron's post and pm when I first got my M9. The difficult of M9 file actually help me a lot with my Nikon file as well, though I don't use it as much as before for the size.
Adam, Hilmar and Michael, thanks guys, the comments are much appreciated
Michael, thanks for sharing your PP'ing workflow I also find that I'm using a similar workflow with LR 4.1.
zhangyue - It seems very basic, but you have a good eye for these things. Which I think helps a lot. I agree about the light, but you really do a good job when you want to save a photo.. I usually end up just deleting the images
I'll post something that I'm really excited about in a while, so stay tuned.
