The whole forum has a collective slump. Much less activity than before, and too many comments on sensors and lens resolution

Guilty. No more gear talk, enough is enough.

Charles, the 2nd one is very nice, I like the atmosphere.
Joe, that is a hilarious moment. good catch. Wish that lady is in focus.

Now some pic. Sonnar f2.8

Joe and zhangyou thank you
Joe, excellent composition and timing! Love this shot
zhangyou, nice set. Really like the shot of the muso!
Carsten, I am totally with you here! Sure there is some great gear just around the corner, but it should not stop us getting out and taking shots! I think there is a place for both, and should be separated, like they do in other forums. I think technical discussion is great, as everyone benefits, and it is really interesting. I do find the discussions of Luka and Ron and many others incredibly helpful

Thanks joakim, Zhangyue & Charles

Zhangyue, that beach shot is excellent! Beautiful colors.

Shouldn't it be the other way round, that its too cold to go outside for photos and that keeps eveyone in the forum?

Carsten do you mean the entire FM or just this thread?

I printed some pictures at 8x10 today. I can't really tell the difference in IQ between the M9 and my Ricoh GRD at this size.

One pic for the weekend, I need more highlight headroom from the CCD sensor though . 35Lux ASPH.

Joe, superb shot! Love the ghost like quality! I have seen this style used before, but I have not been game to try. Great stuff!
The GRD is a brilliant cam! I would imagine for 8x10 prints there would be no difference, and even larger no doubt.

No talk, just some more pictures, taken close to the equator but still in the northern hemisphere.

Charles, spectacular beach shots! Difficult to pick out a favorite, but perhaps the first shot in the last post.
KL, great vibrant sets!
Joe, very nice shots - I particularly like the overexposed dude
zhangyue, great shots - my favorite is the SF beach one, but I also really like the B&W sets.
Seekuh, nice shots - my favorite is the elephant

+1 Indeed. It's downright depressing here in Stockholm right now. It's just cold, dark and unpleasant to be outdoors. Last year I had a bunch of new camera great that motivated me to go out - not so now.

What does that sign on the yellow brick wall say? "No Parking for Jews " ? Is it some Nazi place?

No, it says Parkering F*rbjuden - No Parking. In Swedish.

On the sign on the right the "b" is faint so it kind of says "Parking for the Jew".

Bobu;
see explanation above.
It simply says Parkieren Verboten. Verboten = F*rbjuden in Swedish.

Of course it wasn't meant as a joke, I was being sarcastic regarding
the question itself and how one can ask such a question.

Yes, that's why I asked whether this was meant as a joke by the OP (not by you).

@kosmoskatten: see my reply above, I already translated the word
