nice cold stuff Denoir. don't show me any new lenses, trying to get out of debt is my goal right now... the little stuff that I keep doing, like 59" plasmas, or clothes, or stuff. Tightening up, then someday maybe I can get that 35 or 50 lux...

Kelly, that line is strange. Try testing it in other situations, over and underexposing severely and see if it comes up again? Did you take a look at the the sensor, lens and possibly the UV filter?
There was no filter, the sensor has a few dust specs but mostly clean. Other than the very next shot, I didn't see anything like this in any other shot. The next one was exposed for the birdhouse and the background was way overexposed and mostly blown out. I didn't even bother looking at it until tonight, but I believe I can see the vertical band. I'm standing a few inches to the right, so the bar has moved slightly to the right of the missing peg in the fence. Both shots show it above the same parked car down the hill. Perhaps the sun was hitting something on the car just right.
That imperfection looks far to straight to be a hair on lens, don't you all think?
first thing I'd want to know is if every shot winds up with this line with this lens, or does it occur with other lenses as well. Isolate if it's camera or lens related first.

Martin, I love Slush and Grime! This is what I mean by developing an eye for good shots. I doubt it would have occurred to me to snap Slush. I have a feeling I pass up good opportunities daily and just don't see them.
Yeah, it's easy to get "home blind". But of course it depends very much on what motifs you like. I'm sure I'd shoot the same "meaningless" things if I visited Grand Canyon too. I don't like breathtaking scenery in photos. It's too good to be captured anyway.
One from yesterday when everybody was sitting at home...
had to dig a few pages back to check out the posted photos... wonderful images as usual from everyone. Luka's winter shots are amazing
i like your last post martin
i haven't had any chance of shooting lately with the M since i got a fuji X10
here are a couple test shots with my newly acquired 21/2.8 elmarit last weekend. I'm not very good at ultra wide lenses, i find the 21 quite too wide for my taste
Joekim, interesting comparison. It would be nice to have them side by side. I believe the 2nd shot will benefit more from Lab mode as contrast won't mesh the detail.
Martin, other than the one above, the last one from first set is also very nice. Always enjoy your high contrast PP.
Joe. Nice eye contact
Edwin, Nice family shot.
Here are a few from last weekend. I start enjoy using M more and more, though I have to agree it can't substitute my DSLR Nikon, it is no way as advance as Nikon digitally, but I treat it as a Film camera with advance feature, small and high quality output. I have notice if print out, the output is more special to more pleasing look Nikon file with my PP skill of course. Which one I prefer? Leica.
wow, amazing shots and PP charles! Been out of action for a bit. ALways great to get back into this thread!
Lovely pics all round all.
Just one pic for today
35 Summaron f2.8
Seems like most 35 mm lenses that I use end up front focussing (!) Had to send in my 35 summaron for repair - it jsut refuses to focus to infinity now and there's a slight 'rattling' sound when i shake it!
Charles, what kind of rock is that? Lava? I see the trenched out running path in it and such, just seems unusual. great shots. sky and sand color is very nice in number 2.
Thanks for the comments guys! In hindsight I think the second photo was much more suited for converting to lab but I guess that is part of the learning process.
Makten, excellent photos and great to see you back.
zhangyue, the one of the car hood and the b&w of your son @ 2.8 is great.
Charles, the second one is great with both excellent rendering and the colors. How much did you stop down the lens by the way?
Doug, there are are many rocky out crops along the cost. Really bad for bare feet Yes I would definitely say very old volcanic rocks
Joakim, the lens was not stopped down, just the sun had set, and the lighting was natural with the reflections in the clouds
Charles, Joakim, Thanks for comments.
Charles, excellent set. all good but 2nd is the best.
singletrack, Nice image, yes, this thread need some help It has a lot less activities than before.
Martin, excellent shot!
Edwin, congrats with your new toy Nice set.
Zhangyue, more nice shots with the Sonnar. Cute kid. I like the tree shot a lot, haunting!
Charles, excellent set from the beach!
KL, nice shot!
