You should not be getting sharp results, you should be getting ridiculously sharp results.
It of course depends on what you compare with. As I said, the ZF 35/2 wasn't super sharp at infinity either. And I still haven't had the time to take more than like ~5 shots at infinty with fast shutter speeds, so I don't know really how the lens performs.
One thing to be considered is that I don't use an UV/IR filter, and IR contamination can probably lower sharpness.

I'm also a fairly new M8 user and I live in the east coast of Canada where it's now getting dark out at around 5pm and soon enough it'll be closer to 4.
It's dark outside as we speak, at 3:30 pm. And it gets even worse, especially if we don't get some snow soon.
I've just bought a nicer ball head for my tripod, so I think that's the way to go for now.

Everyone saw the planned increases for lens price correct?
no -- which increase
Charles--beautiful shots!
Seekuh-love the last mini (?) photo. If the 2 cars in the background were not there, that would be an epic shot in my opinion
Thank you, Charles and lovinglife. You are right that the cars in the background are somewhat disturbing. I wanted to remove them but couldn't find the keys.
How much price increase is that? I think prices are still the same in Europe.

The increases do not reflect till January, so u wouldn't see any changes for now.
----Correction---- Increases are effective immediately.
It kinda makes sense. I'm surprised the 50/Lux did not increase higher.
from a selfish perspective, i'm glad I have bought my stock of lenses already.
Seekuh--I have modified the prices to reflect the current prices.
I'll create a new thread for this, so as to not clog up this one.
Ash, my first choice would be the 50 Lux Asph IMO. It is great lens, and one you would use a lot and not too long a FL on the M8, and a brilliant lens on the M9
The price increase does not surprise me either. As with LL, I am fortunate now too that I have my stock of lenses

I would agree - The 50 Lux is an excellent complement to the 28 Cron.
The problem with the 28 / 75 Cron combo is that u need at least one lux for low light shooting, which for me is quite often.

By the way, the photo was among the top 50 on Flickr Explore on 17 November. Was the first time (and most likely the last time) that happened to me and I was more than surprised to see so many people adding this photo to their favorite shots. Nice surprise though.
Makten--VERY nice! what are #2 and #3 by the way?
Charles, u seem to hang around more beautiful women than anyone I know, judging by ur pictures!!! very jealous, gotta admit
I just visited the Leica store in Lille today. I think they have quite a lot of Leica lenses in contrast to the online order shortage. I think they have the 50 Noct, 50 Lux, 28 Cron, 35 Lux, 21/24 Lux, 75 Cron and 90 Cron. Is it often the case that you can buy lens easier in stores than online ?
