Steve, really great B&W set. Your shots make me really want to try to do some street photography.
Charles, very nice portraits - I especially like the one on the previous page.
Ashok, congrats on the Noctilux. There are many Leica lenses that have a really pleasant rendering, but I think the Noctilux is the only one that has really interesting rendering. Looking forward to your shots!

all are oversaturated, 2 has a blue cast, the last is completely out of focus. yes, great to hand hold 1/8 ...
Again? I thought Fred already banned you twice before for trolling in this thread. Third time's the charm? Why not just drop it?
I wish there is separate thread for each lens or focal length for both this thread and Zeiss thread. Then, every people can get what they want information.
Now, it is very painful to find information you need unless you are long enough here to know how to find the info you needed.

Exactly my thoughts..thus my question about the searching capabilities.

Is there any way to search just this thread for something?
Thx
Use google. Add site:fredmiranda.com and "Leica M8/M9/X1 Picture Thread" to your query.

That would be a very good way of killing off any artistic part of the whole forum and possibly being the end of the forum itself. I'd never consider posting my shots by lens. The series of photos that people post usually involve multiple lenses and form coherent parts. Breaking those parts up would I'm pretty sure be unacceptable to most photographers posting here.
a couple of days with just the iphone for browsing and email checking, a lot of beautiful images are posted here already. Very nice pictures gentlemen
i agree with Luka about this thread. I personally would love to see photos taken by you guys with the M bodies (RF) regardless even of digital or film in this thread taken with different lenses and not a separate thread for each lens on an M body.
LL congrats on that nice piece of glass... i wish to have one, but other priorities have to be met first
Gentlemen, i need your opinion on sharpening of the sample snap shot below.
this first photo is the output from LR3 with some global PP'ing and a little sharpening with mogrify during export
this second photo is the photo above that went thru an additional sharpening in CS5
i find the second to be a bit on the high side on sharpening but everyone here that can view it on my imac 21" monitor finds it better than the first one. What do you think guys? ...M9+35/1.2noktonII

The second one is slightly over sharpened, but better than the first one IMO.
