Joe, This All Looks Very Familiar To Me! Had A Great Time Shooting With You Yesterday In 100 Degree Plus Heat! Superb Street,Comps & Film Work! Someday I'll post Here....; - )
Ron great set! All are nice but my favorites are definitely the two last shots. I'm a
Joe, excellent street shots. The two first shots are my favorites - very clean and elegant compositions.
Charles, lovely portrait of your fiancee. The photo she took of you is not bad either - a very interesting glow effect there, rather surprising from the 50 Lux ASPH.
Steve (shtarka1), welcome to the thread. Looking forward to some of your shots - love the street stuff you've been posting at GetDPI.
Just a minor point of the posting tradition here - we try to keep it compact and readable so as a rule we don't include images in quotes.

A couple of more shots from my very brief visit to San Francisco:
I only have about 5 sec...will be back later, but I just wanted to say WOW on the 50 Lux.....it IS worth the hype. It is off about 14mm....which is quite easy to work around until I get to send it in. I want it for a trip in mid August so I will keep it until then....if I can. Here is my first portrait, wide open:
Nice Ryan - try a portrait with a bit of a more elaborate background and you'll see some more magic
Grand Teton
That last shot was actually shot through the window of a moving car so IQ isn't optimal, but still usable. It was one of the many heart wrenching situations when were were going back to the hotel hoping to reach before nightfall and being stuck in a car when the light was just perfect..
Luka - gorgeous, gorgeous shots all of them. The last one is superb even if from a moving car.
Charles, lovely shots in the restaurant - i think you fiancee is a natural at photography! Time to get her her own M9-P Chrome!
Ryan, gratz on the 50 lux - it's a keeper of a lens - mine's in Solns for focusing ring tightness adjustment.
Joe, nice pics! Heat wave? Pls, don't be a wimp - we have wonderful heat wave here year round in Singapore! No wonder my film shots are all 'off' - i'm officially blaming the heat! Coincidentaly, my M3 service expert (local leica guru) swears by the film you tried out (called Acros 100 here) - gave me a roll to try and I'll know by thursday how it looks!
In the meantime, a couple of TMAX 400 (pushed to 800) shots and TRI-X 400 (shot at 200) with a friend's M7 (very nice camera and almost like an M9, except for film):
Sunset ::: Tri-X 400 (@200)
While you were eating ::: TMAX 400 (@800)
Ironman Mike ::: Trix-X 400 (@200)
Hot day ::: TMAX 400 (@800) ::: 35 summilux v1 with orange filter
Leica M9-P launch ::: interview with a celeb photog ::: TMAX 400 (@800) ::: 35 Lux v1
We are a tourist tribe ::: out-of-towners taking a picture outside the temple please ::: Trix-X 400(200) ::: 35 Lux v1
I'm kinda busy ::: TMAX 400 (@800) ::: 35 Lux V1
Busy ears ::: The Gateway ::: Kodak TMAX 400 (@800)
Steve, Luka and KL, thank you guys!
Steve, great to you see you here
Luka, excellent sets! Amazing shots from Grand Teton!!!
Luka, I think I mentioned before, my 50 Lux Asph at f/1.4 has more of a glow than some other 50 Lux Asph's. This is probably related to batches of lenses, and it showed up on the lens collimator in Melbourne when the Lux went in for a full grease and oil change. It's ideal for portraits, as it still very sharp, but the glow disappears at f/1.8/2.0.
Ryan, beautiful portrait of your daughter!!!
Gregory, very nice set! IMO, the 50 Lux is a brilliant lens. Weight/space for f/1.4, it is my most used lens. Just need to swap for the lighter black version, rather than the chrome, and I will be happier!
KL, wow...great set of shots!!! Particularly like #2 and 7 Yes, my fiancée, is eyeing off my gear
Just a heads up, C1 Pro has just updated to the latest version 6.2.2.
OK, I haven't posted in this thread in ages...but I just got back from a work trip that had me in Munich for a weekend. I caught a train down to the famed Neuschwanstein Castle.
Joe - love the film series! I'm surprised that many people were still out in the heat. Down here the streets are empty
Charles - great portrait of the fiancee. I only have 1 M9...can't afford to let my wife get curious with my camera
Luka - great shots from San Fran and Grand Teton. The entire Grand Teton series is excellent...the 18mm Distagon shot though is my favorite. I must get out West at some point....
KL - great shots with the M7. It came down to me between the M7 and ZI and since this is a seldom used backup I went with the ZI. The M7 would have been ideal, though. "Hot Day" is my favorite with the great cloud formation. Singapore looks like a very neat place to live
Jeff - nice shots of the castle. The WATE and MATE must be the ultimate travel lenses
A few more 90 Macro shots....all with the adapter attached so between .5 and .7mm
Looks like we have some analog invasion on this thread
Thanks for the comments, Steve (shartka1), Luka, KL & Ryan
Steve, was fun shooting with you again! Hope to see some of your street shots here and don't keep us waiting too long.
Luka, very nice snapshots from SF. #3 is my favorite from this set. The last shot of Grand Teton through the car is excellent, love it!
Ryan, welcome to the world of having a 50Lux ASPH stuck to your camera Nice shot of your girl! The leaf and water droplet shot are my favorites from the macro set We (Steve, another friend and myself) started shooting at about 8am, so it was probably closer to high 90s when we started, as it got "warmer", the streets became very quiet except for mostly tourist sweating it out.
Gregory, nice set! The picture of the picture is my favorite.
KL, excellent pics! #3 and #4 are my favorites. The natural expression and tonality on #3 is really nice. BTW, if it gets any hotter in Boston, I'll gladly move to Singapore. I think its a matter of perspective, you are in the oven 24/7 in South East Asia and you're probably used to it?
Jeff, welcome back. Nice shots of the castle.
