Some random old pics from the last couple of months. Got more than 10 rolls waiting in the fridge to be developed, so hopefully I can soon show slightly more up to date pics
Nice stuff Ryan! You sure seem to be giving the 90 a serious workout.
Malkovic - I really like the tulips.
So many great images Gregory, Charles, Luka... - please excuse me for not commenting more specifically...
Joe, you asked if I waited for the angles of the shadows in my previous set. That's the way I found it as I walked by, which is generally my methodology. I'm not much for waiting, though today I spotted a composition and did wait a few minutes for someone to walk through. I might revisit this one. It's on the campus of the local university and I'm certain I could get numerous variations of people walking through.
Nice film sets. I really like all three of the first set a lot. Difficult to pick a favourite, but I think it would be the first one of the guy dragging away the sign.
KL - very nice and extensive set! Getting some good mileage from the M7
Thanks Jeff, Luka, Charles, Ryan, Malkovic, Ron for the comments
Ryan, I like the "greens" with the 25 Biogon and more cute pics of your kids! Super sharp shot with the 90M Elmar with adapter!
Malkovic, nice film shots, I like #3 best. Has the football season started in Germany?
Ron, very nice "brick" shot! Lots of interesting colors. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I was curious because I'm also one that don't normally wait too long at a spot.
Tx for the comments all.
Ryan, wow! 90 Macro? Wonders never cease - is it cumbersome to tool up the M9 for macro?
Great shot ron!
Digging that grain Malkovich! what film may I ask?
Developed 2 rolls - one Neopan Acros 100 (oh my, i love this film) and Ilford Delta 3200 (@1600).
Joe: Nope I think it starts late in August. Took the photo this April during a game between Dortmund and Hannover. I think the attendence was roughly 81,000
Ryan, beautiful portraits of your daughter! I do like the 50 Lux best
Malkovich, nice film shots!
Ron, thanks Really nice shot! Love the full gamut of colours
KL, wow... excellent shots! Love the full depth of tonality
Malkovic - great film shots. Love the look of the last shot
Ron - great shot! Great composition and excellent colors. Would like to see more from aruond that area
KL - yes, it is cumbersome....more so than an external viewfinder if you ask me. I have gotten rid of the adapter already . I hate dealing with stuff like that when out and about. I really wanted it for one purpose, used it for that purpose and the rest of the shots (whatever I posted here) was just bonus time . Great film shots. The Neopan Acros 100 does look excellent. The first shot 'the uncle' is my favorite. Great rendering...which lens, do you remember? Is that also the 50 Cron?
90 Macro
Cemetery revisit......first with some 90 Macro shots
KL, I agree the Acros has a great look to it! Great set!
Ryan I really like the tonality and feel of #5! Thanks for the 50 Lux tip, though it's off the site already (assuming they keep it very up to date). Next time just PM me directly
Gregory - very interesting diversity as usual. I love the portrait of the guy and the green car.
joakim - I like the cemetery!
My shot above was a nice discovery because it was something new in an area with which I'm pretty familiar. As you can see there are multiple reflections on the ground and wall, cast by a brand new addition to a research facility at the university. And, as with 90% of recent modern non-residential structures, it's all glass and steel. I was on campus to photograph it, and was pleasantly surprised to turn around and see that scene behind me.
Nearly everything I shot of the new building was on the Canon with TS-E, so I guess I won't be posting it here but while waiting for the sun to come around a bit more I enjoyed the nice day and wandered around campus a bit. As I'm sure most would agree, university campuses, at least ones that have been around 50+ years, can be an interesting and wide ranging source of images.
Here are a bunch more:
M9 and mostly the ZM35C, though there are a few with the ZM50P and one with the ZM21.
I also used my Canon gear a fair amount while wandering around, and with it made probably my favourite image from the excursion, well it might not be everyone's fancy, but it's the kind of thing that excites my eyes, so I'll break the rules and post it here anyway:
Unfortunately the diagonal lines are a bit aliased in this 1000px version, but it does look better at higher rez. It was done at 85mm on APS-H... so I guess I should start looking for a 90mm Summarit...
