Nice shots Todd. Luka, the TMAX shots look great. Great look to those.
So, question for you guys that have done it. The 50 Lux slightly back focuses...but does so enough where it is quite noticeable being f/1.4 and all. My 35 Lux and other lenses are spot on. Send in just the 50 Lux or the 35, 50 and M9 to have all calibrated? I think I know the answer...I just don't want to be without them for long . In the US, where do I send to, NJ? How long does this typically take?
Thanks Ryan. Just send in the 50 Lux. If all your other lenses have been spot on then it's very likely just the lens. And the lenses are calibrated against a master reference - i.e. not per individual camera.
Glad you liked Tmax 100. Can't remember - have you tried Tmax 400 yet? I know you were shooting Tri-X a bit, but if you like Tmax 100, I think you'll like the 400 stuff too. Two stops faster and not that much more in the way of grain...

No, I haven't. Recently I've been shooting Tmax 100, Tri-X 400 & Ilford Pan F 50. I'm currently most impressed by the Tmax 100, although I do like the Tri-X as well.
I think that for film B&W photography suits me better than color.

You didn't use ICE? That looks pretty much tack sharp with very nice grain.
No, ICE is waay to slow. I usually use compressed air to clean the film before scanning it and then do a quick and dirty job with the spot healing brush & content aware fill in PS.
Very nice velvia shots! Excellent play with light and shapes. My favorite is the second shot.
Luka, very nice B&W images! I particularly like 1, 3 and especially 6 from the first set. The scene in #6 could make for a very interesting number of compositions. I love the broken up repetition of the reflections.
I also liked TMax 100... Though it is discontinued now, back in the day I experimented with Kodak Technical Pan film for standard photography. If developed correctly it could be used for continuous tone (as opposed to high contrast litho style) photography. It was extremely fine grain and very high resolving, though also somewhat expensive. It would have likely been an excellent pairing for an M system with top M glass.
Heinz - the colour range is very interesting and works nicely with the abstract, angular nature of the compositions. I'm partial to the first one.
Joe - very nice set. I don't think the blocked highlights take anything away from the images.
Nice images Todd!
These are from a couple weeks ago... got sidetracked with all the cemetery stuff:
M9 & ZM35C for the first two, CV75 f/1.8 for the last two.
Luka, great film shots!!! I love the look of TMax Don't temp me with film. Problem here on Gold Coast, access to pro labs and scanning is not easy now, so I am reluctant to take the plunge.
Heinz, beautiful colours with the Velvia! Very nich compositions.
Ron, excellent set of compositions! Of course great PP'ing
Ryan, the 50 Lux, and longer FL's will really test the accuracy of your RF focusing. You may get away with 90 Elmarit. I have found the most demanding lenses, that I need to cater for in order, are the 75 Lux, 50 Lux Asph on par with the 90 Cron AA, and then the 35 Lux Asph II. If you have already sent the M9 to be checked, I would not send it again. If not, I would double check it with the critical lenses you want to sync with someone local. My case it is only 3 to 5 days, so I don't even think about it. If you send the M9 to be checked to a local Leica repairer, ask them to keep the calibration of your M9 on file. I do know that even with the M9 calibrated as per the master set of specs from Solms, there still are variations depending of your set of lenses too. So lenses can be marginally adjusted, so it is finding the compromise between the entire set of lenses. My case there had been minor tweaking, still within the M9 RF and lenses specs to fully accommodate all of the Lux's. In the end, you just want to attach a lens, and have the confidence the shots will be in focus.
If you have to the send your lens to Solms, I would only send the 50 Lux Asph, purely on a time factor
Todd, nice shots! I like the framing and shadow on #1.
Luka, two excellent sets with the TMax100. Love them all and great composition as always. Sightseeing ducks on the second set? Were these lab scanned or did you use the Epson V700? I think I need to give this film a tryout, I'm still undecided between this or Delta 100 for EI100 speed film.
Heinz, excellent shots with the Velvia! Nice colors too!
Ron, another beautiful set! Both the tree shots are excellent and I like the shadows and angles on 3 & 4. Curious, did you wait for the shadow to "align" or were you just walking by?
Najibs, nice B&W set.3 & 6 are my favorites.
Ryan, call Leica NJ, else ask your dealer if he has a second copy for exchange. Leica NJ normally turn-around repairs within 2-3 weeks, Plus it helps to follow up with a call after a week or so, just to make sure they are looking into it.
Charles, I understand the predicament with finding a good lab, but I think you should just go ahead and shoot a few rolls for fun. Its quite liberating

I screwed up with developing yesterday. Today was even worse, I switched to Rodinal and made a mess of rolls 3 & 4. Overcooked it much worse than yesterday. Most of the shots were not usable but I did managed to pull back 2-3 stops exposure on a few. I'm blaming the heat wave in my basement for the ruined negatives
M6 TTL, Legacy Pro 100 roll #3, Rodinal 1+50 8min @ 25C, pics from yesterday with 35Lux or 50Lux
najibs, very nice shots!
Joe, awesome shots!!! Love this set, great compositions, every one of them
Must try a roll of film soon, or I will feel like I'm left behind
I am asking because I am sitting at the coffee table right now and my wife was looking what I was watching on my Macbook screen. I said to her: do you want to see how a Greek restaurant looks in Australia? She immediately asked: "...lovely girl, is she Greek?".
Very nice shots Charles. Love the colors and the scallops and yes, your fiancee nailed focus!

Scanning my 4th roll. Test shot Legacy Pro 100 with Rodinal 1+50 28Cron. Scanned on Plustek 7600i 4800 dpi. I think this is probably closer to how this film normally looks compared to my earlier blotched attempts.
This was close to 2.5 stops overexposed and I pulled it back in LR3. Looks pretty sharp to me, there's just something about analog B&W.
I think I need to stock up on Legacy Pro 100 (less than $2 a roll in the USA) since its half the price or TMax or Delta 100s.
