My Wife and I met up with some other family members in Florence to celebrate the New Year. We had the penthouse suite at the Excelsior Hotel with amazing views over the rooftops of one of the World's most beautiful cities. New Years Midnight fireworks were amazing. Horizon to horizon fireworks. I was all set up to photograph them but my Wife got so enthralled in sharing that moment together that I didn't want to break such a special moment with her and took no pictures. Worth missing the pictures. Here are a couple of images, one a panorama showing the view from our balcony, the other shot during our morning walk with family. Great weekend.
Both shot with M11, the pano with 50mm lux, and the bridge with 35mm lux.

I used zone/multi field with eye/face turned on, not eye/face/body which I think you don’t need in good light. Worked well grabbing faces and eyeballs.

We love Florence! A very picturesque city. We were there a few years ago and vow to return.
Nothing special from me except to do a test run of the Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.0 on the SL3. All shots are wide open at f/1 to see what kind of 3d pop I can get. I like the look and the lens is decently sharp at f/1
Been working on the time well before Sunrise as the stars disappear but it is not yet light in Tucson, there is a diffuse light favoring red so plants and scenery glow- This is a Mexican Firestick captured with 0.95 noct. Leica M11 EV1 These plants turn red during the winter once it is cool enough and the days are short enough and for a few minutes in the early morning the red is amazing.
Another winter morning in Tucson, waiting for breaking dawn light and color, amazing how it changes in seconds. I continue to be thrilled by the 50 apo summicron/ M11 EV1, even in the dim light before dawn the green in leaves of the mesquite shows through in detail pulled out by the apo.
I guess I can share these here also. First time using my old Canon EF 600/4.0 adapted onto my Leica SL2 in the field. Shooting at mostly ISO 1600 due to overcast skies and rain. Most of the time with my 1.4x teleconverter on it and pushing my luck with slow shutter speeds in the 1/320-1/640 range. Surprisingly the AF on the SL2 seemed to work fine with this lens setup for the perched birds.
This is not the kind of work I bought into the SL system for but it certainly is capable of it.
