Yours truly taken by Dr. G on a walk street in Venice Beach. A little missed focus but not bad for a rookie learning how to use an M. Better learning how to focus a rangefinder camera with digital than with film!

I own both lenses! Since I have the f/1.2, the f/1.4 sits around. It took me three attempts to find a good copy of the f/1.2. The first one was misaligned with its aperture ring (widest open at f-number 2.8 instead of 1.2), the second copy had a reversed lens element for close focus but unable to focus at infinity. The third one was finally the keeper lens. Congrats! Any idea why there is a kind of circular line in the center bokeh circles in the third photo from top? I haven't seen this with my lens version. Doesn't look like it's coming from anything within the photo frame.

Honestly, I didn’t even notice. Let’s call it character!
That photo was taken last night, before I took the Lens Pen to it. I don’t see it on any images with similar bokeh taken today.
Regardless, the rangefinder focusing is accurate, at both MFD and infinity. Sharpness is good. The focus is smooth and the aperture has smooth detents with definitive clicks. I feel like I scored for a lens from (estimated) 1963.

I think those are onion rings. I get those with my Jupiter 8. I think they're kinda cool.

There are definitely onion rings, but those little dark circles in the center are a bit odd; I've never seen those in any of my lenses (my biggest onion ring producer is the Nikkor 50/1.4 Ai-S, but I also have the Canon 50/1.4 LTM and haven't noticed them there).
