Learning to use the entire frame and having the backgrounds work with whats going on in the foregound is far more difficult and in my opinion more interesting than just blowing out the background with bokeh.
Very good point Airfrogusmc. Even more so true given how 'busy' street can get. I'll def. start giving it a go. I miss too many shots
Out for my therapy walk today I saw this amazing couple playfully strolling down the sidewalk. I snapped a quick candid. When they saw my camera they commented on how cool it looked. I said yes, it is a special old style of camera. I asked if I could shoot a portrait of them. I happened to be standing in front of this large wooden beam that divided two store buildings. I asked them to go and lean against it for the portrait. They just melted into this pose, and I shot the image. So natural the way these people fit together.
Sometimes you get lucky and everything just falls into place. It is not unusual for the Leica to be the catalyst that inspires people to let me take their portrait. This is one of my favorite things about shooting Leica. You can't put a price on that.
