Out for my therapy walk today I saw this amazing couple playfully strolling down the sidewalk. I snapped a quick candid. When they saw my camera they commented on how cool it looked. I said yes, it is a special old style of camera. I asked if I could shoot a portrait of them. I happened to be standing in front of this large wooden beam that divided two store buildings. I asked them to go and lean against it for the portrait. They just melted into this pose, and I shot the image. So natural the way these fit people were together.
Sometimes you get lucky and everything just falls into place. It is not unusual for the Leica to be that catalyst that inspires people to let me take their portrait. That is one of my favorite things about shooting Leica. You can't put a price on that....Show more →
Focus camshaft was getting sticky and figured I'd have to send it in for repair and thought why not try to lube it myself. I was slightly nervous, but now that I know how to do it, it's a 2 minute job. And it's working great now!
